Carlito_Brigante
How can you not see that's a shoe? Yeah theres loads of shoes"" 1.Love fist are still a struggling bar band!! 2. Diz only came to vice city in 84' so well probly see him building up his drug empire!! Canoxa
A new screenshot shows Vic just by a pool table, with people playing. Do you think they're teasing us, they're mocking us, or both?
ybakker
no one is playing pool in that pic. he's sitting on the table, and Vic is leaning on it. (probably from a cutscene)
Born Acorn
It probably isn't, espcially as the PSP can't handle it, and Renderware can't handle the PSP, but there is nothing stopping them from using features from it using new code. im not saying vcs uses SA engine, but SA engine is not rendeware It acutually is. Heavily modified from it's GTA3 form, but still renderware.
Canoxa
My bad, I had another tab opened and confused things. It wasn't on the trailer, it was a screenshot as I said.
Dontknowaname
The psp CAN handle the San Andreas engine. It doesnt only depense on the engine if a game run fine but more on the number of pixels the CPU/GPU has to calculate. Textures and models with many polygons has more pixel to calculate then when they have less polygons. And calculate more pixels require more time from CPU/GPU and that can cause lag. So if R* did use a modified SA engine it would spare them a lot of time and would explain why we saw so much SA stuff such as passenger drive-by and swimming which is build in the SA engine. But even if they use a modified SA engine it doesnt mean that all the extra's(such as minigames, food and working out systems, parachuting ect..) are included because most of them were external scripts in San Andreas. GTAThomas
I'm going to say they either used some SA code for the VC/LCS engine or developed entirely new code.

kletus
Well I was browsing through the trailer when I came across these things. First off notice the baracade on the bridge, could this suggest that you start on the 2nd island this time around? No. He could have been swimming over to the island. there are police on him. i...need...blood
i don't know if this has already been mentioned, but i've been messing around with the trailer, using different programs i have here in my computer. Anyways, i opened Windows movie maker and imported the trailer. here's the interesting bit: the trailer is made of 5 small "movies". the first one lasts 5 secs the 2nd one lasts 1.57 secs. the 3rd one lasts 52.20 secs. the 4th one lasts 5.67 secs. the last one lasts 0.63 secs. it adds up to 1min and 5.07 secs

Carbon_copy
Did you guys even read my comment on page 3, there is a link to an interview with a repsentative of rockstar saying that VCS does NOT use the SA engine, or anything at all to do with SA, it's LBS, just rebuilt bottom to top. like I said, rockstar made the GPU and CPU of the psp work separately freeing the CPU to do more things, giving the ability of more polygons on screen, larger draw distance, and still faster and smoothing gameplay. Pat
Yes yes we get it. We were just stating a point. If you read in my post, I said I dont even think it will. It was just a theory. @ Knife beat me to the post about the barriers on this side of the bridge. If you remember, every GTA had the barriers on the side of the bridge connected to the side which you start on. Looks like we're on the second island this time. MasterOftheBoard
If we don't start on the second island then why would the Trailer Park be on that island. It was said by many mags the you start the game out in the trailer park.

MasterOftheBoard
Said what? That the trailer park is on the second island? Well you can see sunshine autos next to it in the Trailer Park Mafia vid. And if you're asking about starting out in the trailer park, well, if you haven't heard something about that then I don't know what to say. tekkenfreek233
Well I was browsing through the trailer when I came across these things. First off notice the baracade on the bridge, could this suggest that you start on the 2nd island this time around? Notice the side cafe that used to be in little havana is gone, it is now replaced by a new shop and it doesn't look to be accessible this time around. Also the cherry popper factory doesn't appear to have any errrmmm ''ice cream'' scoops on top, could this suggest that there was no cherry popper in 1984? Notice the rockstar sign in the background. Could this be a cleverly placed easter egg for the trailer or is it going to be in game? Also, notice there is no VCN building meaning that we will be likely to not be seeing the famous Easter Egg ''Easter egg''. Edit: Also it looks like one of the dead guys on the floor is the army guy that is talking to you earlier in the trailer. EDIT2 It apears that corner shop has the word ''ciggarette'' on the sign. And since it's near little havana could it be some kind of cigar store? Edit3: Fixed some dreadfull spelling errors. I actually hope you start on the second island this time, since it was my most favorite island from VC! in that picture whats that purple dot? what pickup? I think it's a police bribe. indeed i think Most likely. Edited September 15, 2006 by tekkenfreek233

In Vice City, the Downtown Ammu-Nation had stronger guns than the Ocean Beach and Vice Point Ammu-Nations. If we have to start on the second island, they may change that up. What do you people think?
