Cherry Poppers: It looks like R*'s sex joke is still in. Ghost Tower! VC: VCS: This is a lesser known thing in Vice City. When your in the sky and your at the first island if you look toward the Airport you see a tower and some other buildings, but as you get closer, there gone. This means this might of been part of the beta. Well now, you see the same stuff in VCS. I don't know if this is an easter egg or if the Ghost tower is really in VCS. Asif Posted September 8, 2006 Share Posted September 8, 2006 Ya, I've noticed the beta tower thing at 0:29, but at 0:33 (the police pursuiting the stallion at the airport) contradicts that this beta tower wont be appearing with its real figure in-game. It'll be just viewable from the east island, just as happened in Vice city. Either their near distance models(with hi-res textures) are different in shape, or they just don't exist. R* just forgot to remove those LOD's. It's weird that these LOD's would be in a VC Stories screenshot, but that may be a very early Beta shot, running on a modified VC or something. It's definitely not an easter egg. I'm betting that scene with the boat was actually from VC, modified in some way of course. Or maybe they just transferred over the models from VC and this is very early BETA/test footage from VC Stories in the trailer. That's what I'm thinking it is.... I think it is and they changed the video to keep Avery unconfirmed (or Burt at least). Later, 00:47, Umbertos voice sounds right. Am I crazy?Thoughts? Woah, you're right. I'm 100% sure thats Burt. I agree aswell i also have another one with lance at the start when u hear he sounds toatally different but at the end when u hear him saying ''Yeah lets pop hahahahah'' he sounds like lance from vice city. I'm not saying they are, I dont even THINK they are. I'm just saying maybe. Also, the first angle from the cinimatic view with the Stallion was in SA, but none of the other GTA's. And then everyone else has noticed all the other features from SA. So maybe we will see SA's engine modified. Just saying. GO ahead, start a flame war. Could this be a hint that parachuting will be back? Also in the first part of his video (the helicopter part) you can get a clear view of Starfish Island. Like already proved, Diaz's mansion is back. Carbon_copy Posted September 9, 2006 Share Posted September 9, 2006 (edited) VCS uses the same engine that liberty city stories uses, the entire game was revampped, aswell as some cpu and gpu comnucation advances, which allows double the polygons, large draw distance, and 3x the objects on screen, the water data was changed to support bouncy for the new jetski, aswell as spray, wave, etc effects. VCS will allow helicopters, and faster load times. All this, and still even faster and smoother gameplay than LCS. and yes, these are all facts. Link.
