Why bikes were not in GTA 3

Well I was reading through the booklet for LCS, the booklet is like a newspaper thing which is pretty cool. Anyways, I came across an article in the book "BIKES TO BE BANNED" or something along those lines. Then a person from a commity that was against two-wheeled transportation said this "We got rid of bicycles and we can sure as Hell get rid of motorcycles". Theres no doubt this is why bikes were not in GTA 3. Although I'm sure R* added this article thing to cover up for GTA 3's missing piece.....BIKES!

That's bullsh*t... why the hell would they be against bikes anyway?

The reason why, in the story-line, there were no bikes in GTAIII was becuase of the bike banning petition (sponsored by Maibotsu cars) in Liberty City Stories.

 

The technical reason there were no bikes in GTAIII, is that the physics engine was not yet capable of handling bikes. this however was added in Vice City.

Yeah it was just to make it seem real. Give reason for the lack of bikes. Really they just didn't have time to add them.

Still LCS doesnt really explain why the Deimos SP, V8 Ghost and Phobos VT aren't in GTA3

and storyline wise....its 3-4 years, maybe they juts went out of fashion, also, whos to say they're not there storyline wise, just not seen in the game, becuase they have become so rare

BAck ontopic though, Bike werent in GTA3 because Rockstar weren't as good back then.

The Pheonix was in San Andreas. And I must say, that was a hell of an excuse. Rockstar weren't as good back then? And why the f*ck does the city have the need to have the same cars over and over again. Companies go broke, fashions change. One thing is being inquisite, completely different from not thinking.

I read an article once that explained the actual reason there wern't bikes in GTA3 was becuase of September 11th.

 

There was meant to originally be bikes in the game but because of the events of September 11th time had to be taken from finishing the bike pyshics and were put into removing buildings from the game that were similar to those of the twin towers.

Might be another rumour, but according to Rockstar, there weren't any changes due to 9/11. They were having so much fun with the new graphical advances that there was a point they felt that it was too much, and took out things like the legend Darkel. Doubt it about the bikes though.
