Kuiosikle 5
...The handling file from Bully...full of GTAness. Might be possible to use the skateboard handling to make the one in SA that was scrapped work. Edited October 22, 2006 by Kuiosikle
jarjar 3
I've heard that it uses San Andreas engine with a few tweaks. Does it ever! handling.cfg what does that means? It means the game uses the same engine as GTA did. The same file formats (except for a few differences) and the same encoding of files. If only it was coming out on PC, it would be moddable then . Might be possible to use the skateboard handling to make the one in SA that was scrapped work. Hum, nice idea, maybe. I don't have the game yet, but once I get it I'll look into it for you. Oh and also Kuiosikle, your file you linked us to is dead .

Tetsuo2501 181
i beat Bully in three days, took 20 hours and some change, it's fun, I'm sure I wont ever play it again after beating it, it gets rather repeditive after awhile.

Ima have to disagree with you. I also beat it in 3 days, but still have yet to finish 100% (mostly the colletables left.) But I think it gets a tad repetitive because of the samll size of the acctual map. Proabably should have put more activities to do, seemes like they worked harder on the story, but it really paid off. Definately worth a replay IMO.

saintdave 3
I got the game yesterday but am yet to play it as like Kanney I also got PES6 on the same day which will take up most of my free gaming time. But I didn’t get it just for the sake of having it, I am looking forward to playing it and in a way its good I can save it for a week before giving it all my attention, instead of jumping from one game to the next. Kanney 2
Really nice game. Im enjoying what Im playing of it. Little notes: Is Gary not Stiffler? So like him. What was the fuss about? Barely any violence. The Art class is tough. Love the english class myself. Sometimes just get caught by prefects to be thrown into class. Im just past Halloween to ne1 that cares

rom 0
I just finished the story missions last night and I thought the game was exellent. I am going for 100% now. I noticed in the credits at the end there are two kids in the game with funny names, one is called Lance and the other ones Vance. Its an obvious referance to VC and it made me smile. I really recommend it.

TEoS 1,425
The Art class is tough. Art class is pie. Shop class is a bitch. For me Shop was easy, had a harder time with Art. I found that the joystick rotation was way to sensitive, and that if I didn't start rotating in the proper direction as soon as the icon popped up, I failed. Art is just a remake of some old school game, I forget what it's called. I only failed it once, and it was because I was rushing. If you take your time, it's nearly impossible to fail it. Yea, if you dont start rotating, the game will think you pressed teh analog stick left right up or down in stead of rotation. And Art class I think is kind of like snake. Raindancer 134
I just brought Bully yesterday. I spent the first hour or so last night running around colecting those wristbands and card things. At first glance, it does not seem as free roaming as i would of liked. I was hoping that i could actually sit in a class room and disrupt the class. I spent most of my first hour beating up everyone and everything i could touch. I am at 2.63% so have a long way to go.

CarpetDweller 5
I’m one of the people having trouble with Shop Class. I guess it is just not registering that I’m turning it. The other classes so far don’t seem to be problem. Chemistry is the easiest for me. I’ve been waiting for this game for well over a year now and I’m really enjoying it. As usual I’d convinced myself it was going to play a certain way and it took me a little time to realise I’d got things mixed-up. Maybe I’d read things wrong in early previews or maybe I just made them up. For some reason I believed that the game would run through the days of the week and I’d only be able to go outside the school on weekends. When I realised that the days aren’t marked I jumped to the conclusion that attending the classes would progress the week, so made a point of going to all the classes. It took me a little while to understand that this game is fundamentally GTA set in a school and pretty much works the same way. The story line opens up the new areas and being GTA-like I have the freedom to go to anywhere (once opened), whenever I want. I’d also convinced myself that the experience would vary considerably depending on my actions to the various cliques. I’d assumed that my clothing and interaction with the students would affect my game. Again, I got this wrong and of course (like GTA) it’s the story-line that really governs how people treat you. I love the customisable clothing (much quicker than SA), but I’ve only really experienced a couple of occasions so far (Halloween / starting a Preppy mission) when I had to wear something in particular. None of this is a complaint. Since I first heard of the title all I ever wanted was GTA: School Yard and I’m really enjoying it. The game is basically GTA: San Andreas, but instead of playing as a west coast gangsta you experience the life of a New England school kid. I think it really sits well as an expansion of the GTA universe. Anyone who’s ever complained about the lack of kids in GTA gets a really good compromise. There are even some dogs in the game. I’m only up to the part where I start talking to the Greasers and I’m still uncertain how I feel about the various ‘Child’ related aspects of the game. By these I mean things like the curfew and passing out if you stay up too late. Also Bully is slightly less free-roam than GTA due to the strict rules about where I’m “supposed” to be. It’s true I can go where I want but the constant classes to attend or fear of having to go to bed re-strict my freedom to just explore. You can do it, but you’re constantly reminded that you’re breaking the rules by prefects and police. It’s a bit like trying to casually walk around Portland at the end of GTA3 with Triads and Mafia constantly hassling you. I also think the set daily schedules are propelling me through the missions quicker than I usually would or maybe they are just making more aware of the passage of time. Maybe weekends should have been included to allow a time for more free-exploration or a different set of school-based missions to replace the classes. Overall though I feel these are worthwhile inclusions, I’m enjoying it and I’ve still got loads to do. The title Canis Canem Edit works well in my opinion. I still think of it as “Bully”, but I don’t believe that’s a great title. Bullworth would have been better in my opinion. The latin title has more feeling and is appropriate to the subject. It also works well in most countries without need of translation. A great game!
Raindancer 134
Not sure if i want to know the answer to this or not. The whole passing out crap in the early hours is already annoying me. I really REALLY hate to cheat. But if there is a code to stop that happening, i would be a happy chappy. So later in the game when you are exploring the town. If you miss a lesson, can the prefects come after you there?
