I thought someone confirmed Rockstar phaggot was fake? Is he or is he not?

Not to my knowledge. His information was always pretty much spotless. He might have not been a Rockstar employee and could have been fed info but that's no reason to dismiss his info about Bully/RDR2. We'll have to see on that but his track record is 100% so far.

Asuming this is all true, I just pray that this Bully 2 is strictly single player. One, idk how they'll railroad multiplayer into Bully and two, obviously Rockstar needs to put their attention on singleplayer more than multiplayer as not to let GTA 5 happen again.

The game was shelved several times. Once in 2009 and again in 2011. So Ash is curious whether they'll go with the 2009 or the 2011 version. That or they just start over and don't use anything from 2009 or 2011. The thing i'm curious about is what rumors is Ash talking about. Yan said it's in development and is supposed to be the next game after RDR2 but R* F4g said that it's not happening. Then again R* F4g made a mistake about a photoshopped picture of the North offices so i'm wondering if he REALLY is a North employee, i mean yeah he's GTAO leaks were spot on but maybe he's just getting that from someone else. Jestic said to not put too much faith in R* F***ot

Hm ... wouldn't R* pick up where they left instead of starting from scratch everytime they pick this game up again??? We know for sure that the OST has been done for this game way back in 2009 so I suppose all they'd do now is bringing this 'old' - shelved build to the current tech of their engine, and finish developing it and bring it out by Fall 2019 ... I know I know, but please, let me dream OK!

Yeah, same ... maybe he can shed some light on it? He obviously worked for R* and I think he still has some contacts there and maybe he's referring to these people that might tell him Bully II is the next thing after RDR2.

If only there's a definite confirmation for Bully II sometime in 2018 with a slated release for 2019 ... we'd all go nuts. It'd be wonderful.

I don't think they can just port old assets like that to their engine. Like Spider said in the case of Agent. They can use the story and ideas from the old versions maybe but everything else would be made from scratch i think. I'm not sure if they'll use Lee's original score from 2009 either.

^ ... yeah, what I mean is using the story, the original score that's already done, the characters ... obviously they have to develop it for current-gen technology but that's, let's say the 'easy' part when you have everything else done ... the story, the score, the features, ...

Well, they can port assets as they wish, it's just that the assets are tailored for last gen and low quality. Would probably need some remastering, but doable.

It probably got scrapped because they weren't feeling the direction they were going with, and then picked back up again with some changes or a brand new direction. The 2009 and 2011 versions could be vastly different in terms of ideas, themes, story, etc, that's Ash was probably referring to when he said he was wondering what version of the game they went with, if I had to guess.

 

They can't really use any of the assets from back then as they won't be up to scratch for 2018+, and there's no "easy" part of making a game on this scale. Everything takes time and work, whether it's writing, voice/mocap work, creating the art, or building the games features, etc etc. If they've picked it back up it's possible they'll use the many of the ideas they had way back in the day, but they've probably had to start from scratch again when it comes to making the actual game.

A ton of games were shelved just because North needed help with V. (4 to be exact) I mean yeah 4's not a "ton" but for Rockstar nowadays it's like 10. It's been 4 years without a new R* title. Guess now you can understand what they meant years ago when they said they want to do a lot of games but they just don't have the time, huh?
