Definitely! It has a lot of new contents the PS2 version didn't have. Heard the Scholarship Edition is pretty glitchy, though

Might've found something interesting in Max Payne 3. A few pages back, if I'm not wrong, it was discussed that Bully 2 was indeed in development, but it was eventually canned several times until nothing happened. In fact, Shawn Lee himself confirmed it was a thing.

 

For context, Rockstar internally saves their game source code in a studio-wide network drive, as many developers do, with the letter X assigned to it. You can find references to stuff like X:\gta5\build\{branch} in GTA V, X:\payne\build\{branch} in Max Payne 3, and so on.

 

In Max Payne 3, there is a folder for animation expressions on common.rpf/data, and inside it, Rockstar left a batch file for generating expression files from their proprietary tools.

Now, I'm sure devs aren't going to create random new projects, if they want to test something, they'll branch off of the main build, and put their changes there (for example x:\payne\build\mytest\). Anyone who has basic understanding of how SVN/Git works will probably agree. By looking at the name "Jimmy", you probably know where I'm coming from with this. I'm very suspicious that this was used to compile animation expression files for a Bully title, given the name, and not Max Payne 3 specifically in this case. Let's also remember that Max Payne 3 was made by Rockstar Vancouver... and so was the original Bully. (non-Scholarship Edition)

 

This is just speculation, but given I've observed how their directory structure works from looking at other Rockstar game files, this is suspicious. It could be some dummy game they're codenaming as Jimmy, but it's too coincidental for me.

Edit: I know you're seeing X:\tools\bin\ but this makes sense being there, as you can see it's just a folder with tool binaries and not a full fledged project with build and dev folders.

If there is another Bully game I wonder what era It'll take place in the original bully was kinda unique as it looked like the 80's/90's but they never really said the year though some people have said it took place in 2006.

 

If they do another Bully game I'd like to see it set in the early 00's I just can't see it being set in the 2010's but that's just me. Maybe they can pull it off though who knows.

Bully II has been on and off the shelf like twice already in the previous gen, so as Spider Vice said, I'll believe it when it's actually released, just curious to know if it's been rebooted or a continuation of one of the projects from 2009/2011.

aGENT has been in "development" since just after GTA3 Once was a PS2/Xbox title, put on the shelf, dragged off the shelf after Rockstar convinced Sony to let L.A.Noire go multi-platform, and then quietly put back on the shelf. So that's another Rockstar title that's been twice shelved.

I can also confirm that Bully II is a thing ... sadly in all those years we have nothing but rumors. But I said it a lot of times that it'll be the next game after RDR2. I hope it's true. Please make it happen R*!

Bully 2 is long overdue ... it's no secret that they have been working on it at several points till now but shelved it in between to focus on Max Payne 3 and probably shelved it a second time to help out with GTA V. I heard from a source close to R* that they have a working prototype for Bully 2, however it's unknown on which engine it runs, etc.

I'm confident that it will be released after RDR2.
