San Andreas Stories

Do you think Rockstar would make a San Andreas Stories , next year before GTA 4 comes out. I do, cos there hardly gonna make Liberty City and Vice City Sotries and then not complete the "GTA3 Series" without it.

Its probable,seeing as R* would want to conclude the series so that they could get on with developing GTA4 and possibly GTA5 if SA Stories is released on the same day as GTA4,which I think would be cool.

I think it's highly likely since the GTA3 trilogy really won't be complete without San Andreas Stories.

 

P.S. It's funny that I have over 700 posts but this is my 1st post in the San Andreas forum. I was supposed to get SA today for PC but there were no more in stock right now.

I think SAS would do a VCS and chose a character that you wouldn't really notice from SA

I believe that there will be a San Andreas Stories, because it would just be stupid to re-visit previous locations from the GTA III Series and leave one out. And if they do (I know they will), I believe that you'll probably play as someone from the Ballas before the events in San Andreas took place. It'll probably tell how the Ballas came to power and how Grove Street falls from dominance, probably 2 years before CJ comes back from Liberty City. Or, if it is after the events in San Andreas, then I think you'll probably be a member in a new gang, climbing the ladder to dominance in the street gang wars, and you'll probably destroy Grove Street. But, if it is before and if you play someone from the Ballas, I think you'll probably play as someone mentioned from that gang: OG Kane(From the mission "Los Sepulcros").

It would be cool to play as Sean Sweet Johnson since he didn't mention that he's been to the places all over San Andreas or Mike Toreno. The year I would expect this game to take place in would probably be 1989, 1990 or 1991.

I would love this, maybe we can play as another character in the SanAn storyline, like Sweet.

 

I seriously DOUBT this, because the PSP UMD can only hold 1.8 gigs of space, whereas I'm sure SanAn uses more. It can be done via a lot of compression but that doesn't seem likely.

I think Brian could be likely cos we don't know much about him, but I think it could be about the Vagos cos there wasn't much info in SA about them.

But on every GTA, you could unlock an island so Los Santos Stories, San Fierro Stories, etc. wouldn't work.

It can be done. From what I've heard, the thing that took up the most space on San Andreas was the audio. If they compress it a lot, and cut back on a lot of music and un-needed sound effects, they can certainly pull it off. It would be stupid to re-visit the locales in previous entries, and leave the biggest and arguably the best out. And, it would be stupid to split the 3 cities into 3 games, because they were meant to be put together.

Or they could just cut out all the counrtyside and that and just make it 3 cities, each accessible by airplane.

 

Its not the best idea but it would cut back the strain for the PSP.

I doubt if they'll revisit SA. I think most of the GTA fans preferred the italian gangster thing a lot more than they did the black gangster scene. If R* had wanted to come back to SA they could have done it before the other PSP titles.

 

Now assuming I'm wrong, and I doubt it, they could focus on either Brian or one of the other characters out of SA. If they stick to the gang life theme, they would only need SA not the other areas. There's enough real estate in SA to contain all the adventures you need.

Seriously,they need to focus on improving the series.I'm not saying GTA sucks(I'm not from GameSpot),I'm just saying that the gameplay is usually what gets it a 9.6 rating,but graphics count too,and GTA is not a leader in that field.

I think they'll cut sa into three parts, so you start in los santo's, and then later in the game your only in san fiero or las ventura's so basically its like three seperate cities, with the character in one at a time.

Well, I don't want R* to make them if they are going to seperate the 3 cities (which they won't, I assure you), because seperating the cities/counties would just ruin the intended experience in San Andreas. Those cities/counties were meant to be put together. And if they split them up, then I feel that would be a step in the wrong direction, and would just ruin the original experience. And, if they are going to split them up, then I don't think they should make them at all.

Are you all forgetting that Las Venturas is newish?

If R* made SAS they could do it many years before the actual game, and cut out like half of LV, that would work...

Alternativley, audio compression is an awufully good idea..

I honestly wouldn't mid if it was just Los Santos stories, and it covered Los Santos and the badlands. Also, I think playing as Kane would be a really cool thing, because we don't know anything about him and it would be cool to play as a Ballas member. I read online that the Ballas were formed in the 70s, so maybe a low ranking Kane in the early/mid 80s?

yes playing as Kane would be awsome as we dont now much about the background of the ballas and we dont know any of the bosses, so i would love to play as kane.

But none the less,they will really screw up if they have you play as some crappy Italian Mafia member.They have used that theme too many times.It'll be a lot better if they keep the gangster theme.That way,you'll see exactly what you gotta do to survive on the streets.

I don't think they will. For one, theres no way they could fit San Andreas on 1 UMD. Let alone 2. Plus, is there a point. I don't know, I don't think theres anything in San Andreas that warrents it to be recreated for PSP. It's fine the way it is., but then again you never know, after all, did anyone expect LCS .

 

Well just have to wait and see.
