xPyrox
but gta3freak, the ad copy said so! Screw what the "ad copy" said, they port it, why would they remodel a whole city AGAIN, when they could just port it and change a few things...
Born Acorn
I've just read a preview of LCS and they said that SSV woudl be twice the size of gta3, im thinking that the previews of vcs are saying that this game is bigger than it really is. i will be suprises if theres new land. Yeah its the most logical explanation, the only addition in LCS over GTA3 was that you could drive into the SSV tunnels which still ended just further back. Many magazine previews mistook the extended non-solid and non-accessible SSV because the mini-map showed it. I would love for extended and new areas, such as a swamp with Musty Pines and Shady Acres possibly. Its always good to dream but I doubt it will happen. I remember hoping there'd be a new area through the tunnel. It could have included the ghost town from GTA3 and the penitentionary. A blocked third bridge could have prevented access out
WackyZacky
Or Maybe it's that in the game's story you destroy that island like you did in LCS then in the future its difrent. another stupid idea, you cant blow up an island and why would rockstar do that. its pointless
WastedEngland
Maybe those two sunken tankers/cargo ships in VC will be in VCS but they are unsunken and accessable and perhaps its because of a mission or an event that vic causes them to sink

.:Alex:.
Well.. I think we all know now that the water where Leaf Links should be is a different colour so maybe they were marking where it was or something.. Perhaps they are making new pieces for it? You know.. in construction pieces maybe? (so they took out the existing Leaf Links so that they could replace it later on) That WOULD explain a LOT. Vice City is still poor so to attract a new group of higher class citizens they decide to build a luxurious country club (well it was a bit of a country club) seeing as rich people like that. And that is how it will still feature in the game. Or maybe there already is a golf course there. But it is run down and very small so they decide to upgrade for the reason I stated above. But there is no way that this fantastic golf course could exist if everyone is still poor. Also take note that Prawn Island isn't there... I wonder why? This screenshot most definately was taken at an early stage. Why? Notice how the world is very empty (apart from the map, the boat, and Vic of course) including the ocean and the textures are still a little bit rough (they don't look better than VC at all at this stage). Also take a look at the pillars (the underwater section)... in the VC screenshot they are blue because the water is blue. In the VCS screenshot the water is green and the pillars are still blue when they should have a green tinge to them. Sorry that I'm going on a bit but I'm just trying to point out everything I can see...
Rossboy
Okay, The reason the water in the Leaf Links picture is a diffrent colour is becuase the VCS Pic was taken in the SUN and the VC Pic was taken in the RAIN, making difrent contrasts like in real life, becuase the sea reflects the sky thats why when it rain the sea is grey and when it is a loverly day the sea is blue. And by Washington beach a big far out theres old shacks in the middle of the sea, this may hint that they were built on land before something happens, this could be the land before something caused it to sink at a later date in the game. That VC pic wasnt taken in the rain, looks pretty sunny to me. Dont get your hopes up on new land, maybe a few small islands will be added, but probably not a completley new main island. topdogkiller
that would be cool if they built an underground city as an easter egg betwe two buildings with a set of stairs leading to the city.

slash99
talking of underground, theres no subway in vice city, they could add one. Not really much point though i suppose. Its always going to be hard to add any new places, because how do explain their dissapearence?
