The quote is on the second page. The article says that a rockstar rep, which is already questionable, said that they "HAVNT PLANNED TO DO PORT THE GAME TO THE PS2" The same way that they more then likely didnt plan to release LCS on PS2 until Take 2 told them to. This simply means that Rockstar leeds hasnt been working on one yet. Until they are ordered to by Take 2 they wont. Porting a game Im sure doesnt take all that long. But Rockstar should know this. If they dont port VCS to there will be alot of really really really pissed off fans. Life long GTA fans. Ones like me and thousands others. All Rockstar has to do is f*ck us over one time. One time. That takes away from the good image they have maintained thus far in the industry. One thing Rockstar should know by now... Its really good to have loyal fans. Especially considering that the GTA series is probobly one of the most replicated games on the market and its only a matter of time before someone makes a really good GTA clone. Now if Rockstar starts screwing their customers, their big big fans, its only a matter of time before their loyalty goes to a company who is producing a promising GTA clone. Its hard to stay loyal to a company that f*cks you over. If Rockstar thinks they can push off a "subpar" GTA game on the PS2 fans who dont own a PSP to make some quick cash, LCS, yet when they make a great, new, improved GTA game.... They dont let PS2 users enjoy it... That is f*cking rude, selfish, and backstabbing their most loyal and dedicated fans. The god damn trilogy started on the PS2 for christs sake, the fans made Rockstar the company it is now. NOT EVERY f*ckING GTA FAN WANTS TO PLAY THE GAME ON A f*ckING 3 INCH SCREEN!!!!!!! The game is designed for a 3-inch screen , one small analogue stick and the tiny speakers, And not for Huge LCD screens with surround sound. It would be just a port like LCS. I wish I could sh*t 250 bucks for a PSP and VCS in which case I would buy one but otherwise hell no. They are cool dont get me wrong. But 200 bucks + cost of mem stick and other peripherals. Fogetttabidit. Its a god damn 3 inch screen. WTF. You cant be sitting on your sofa, smoking a joint, drinking beer with your buddies all enjoying a good GTA time. Those are some of my best GTA memories. When GTA came out on GameBoy I could have given a f*ck less..... Well I was a bit upset. Then LCS came out and I wanted it more then life itself. What a great game it was. I thought it was better then GTA3 IMO. However VC is still my favorite GTA. But with VCS coming out on PSP I am freaking. It looks better then SA for christs sake and should be on the god damn big screen in my PS2. If Rockstar doesnt release it on PS2 it will lose loyal fans. FLAT OUT. Many people like me will be plenty pissed. Rockstar has yet to give us a reason to be pissed but this would be one hell of a reason. If rockstar thinks they can use us to make money of the lackluster LCS and then refuses to port the real next GTA in the trilogy (VCS) then they are bastards. You cant use loyal fans to make a quck buck then turn your backs on them. THAT is bullsh*t and not something that I will ever forget about. Like GOURANGA and many others I have been playing the game since the original came out and have been loyal to the series. Bought every game the day it came out. And if Rockstar wants to f*ck its fans by forcing them to miss out on the most anticipated game thus far in the series after making money off of LCS for the PS2 then they are nothing more then douchebags. Just like all the other video game companys out there. They dont care about their fans... Only $$$. Please dont ruin your reputation and your fanbase rockstar. You will regret it. Ever heard of Bully? f*cking idiot. PS2 has plenty of life still left in it. PS3 wont even be released until November and it will still be a while before plenty of people have them. Dont forget there is a PS2 in more then 10% of all American homes. Thats a huge market. The simple fact of the matter is that way less then 10% of homes have a computer that could run LCS better then the PS2. If Rockstar releases LCS or even GTA4 for that matter on the PC they recieve thousands of emails from morons who bought the game for the PC and it wont run on the computer because its not up to par. Most, but certianatly not all, people who dont own a ps2 have no idea what their PC specs are. But when they see GTA is available for the PC they buy it. And then bitch because the "game doesnt work", simply because their computer is no where near up to par. This is the exact reason why Rockstar never released any GTA on the PC at the same time as the PS2. It is also the same reason we havent seen GTA stories ports on the PC. I think you'll find the main reason is actually a marketing strategy, Rockstar make more money by separating the releases and saying its exclusive to the first console. Rockstar dominated the early GTA4 rumors such as the fake screens, especially the one with the woman, very quickly. Why arent they confirming or denying this one? Rockstar needs to be spreading the love. We love it so why isnt it loving us? Im pro GTA but anti 3 inch screen. All Im saying is we have been here a long time for Rockstar so it should be on our side when it comes to things like this. If vcs was made for the ps2 it probably wouldn't be able to be ported on the psp because it would be too powerful and if they tried to downsize it it would suck like most gams ported to psp.
