The Leviathan
Well that is why i say it is wiser to port to ps2 for R*'s other fans who unfortunatly cannot afford a ps3 or 360 DAMN STRAIGHT!!!
Dudman
plus i dont want a psp anyways there would only be lcs and vcs that i would play so id rather them be on ps2
palaric8
and sony have an agreement of some kind,is up to them,i will say there 50/50 chance of the game being ported Edited August 17, 2006 by palaric8
Dudman
Yeah well no sense in debating wether or not VCS will port to the PS2 but for now i agree with your 50/50.
GTA3Freak-2001
We also have to remember the PS2 has had its day, PS3 is right on the horizon so Sony will be starting to back away from the PS2 so they can focus on getting people to buy the PS3. This only lowers the chances of a PS2, so I am not saying there's no chance of a port because obviously there is.
*MURDOC*
I am not like some of you rich people who can afford a PSP. Im in no way rich and i have a PSP, because i saved my money. Not because mommy and daddy bought me it. If your so worried, get a job and youll have enough cash in a week. Seriously, moneys not that hard to come by, all it takes is sacrifice. 200 is really not a lot of money, in fact i dont think i have a bill thats less than that, and those i have to pay every month! Bigun
Isn't the PS3 backwards compatible..? If so PS3 owners could still play a PS2 port anyway.

Shut the f*ck up you rich piece of sh*t I really hope that was a joke. In the real world, when you have an apartment/home, and a car, you have to pay for water/electricity/phones/insurance/cable/heat, its not fun but its required. Since i have to pay for all that with no help, that leaves me with about $50 extra a month, and remember, i have to eat too. All im saying is if you live at home with your parents or whatever, get a job, youll have plenty of money to spend. sh*t, if theres something you REALLY want, get a job just long enough to pay for it then quit. Simple.
Carlito_Brigante
They will, it's a smart and inexpensive business move. They made a sh*tload of cash with the port to the PS2. They'll do it again, why miss an opportunity to make alot of money? That's important for me 'cause I don't have a PSP and I'm not planning on getting one either. Snake Without a Tongue
I just don't want a PSP because the screen is tiny and I can't see myself sitting anywhere outside my house playing GTA. Me walking to shul, GTA dialogue blaring from earplugs: "Toni, I need you to kill twenty hookers in thirty seconds" "Hey, f**k you, tough guy" Yeah, that'd go over well. I like to crash on my sofa and kill hookers at my leisure. And R* knows that. It'll totally port.
Dudman
Yeah i prefer to play at my leisure on a couch or the floor on a big tv
Newbie41
Exactly.. they will keep VCS on the PSP.. So go buy a PSP.. there are many cool games for it.. and i like it alot more than my PS2 Sony and R* are probably going to leave VCS on the PSP so more people will buy a PSP... What a brilliant idea for them.. And dont try to say.. ohh.. R* will make so much more if they port it.. because that are in the billions.. and even if they did port it.. it would be probably 15- 20 bucks.. pocket change to R* And seriously.. who cares about the screen size, i got used to in as soon as i started playing it And who the f*ck walks while playing their psp? *MURDOC*
Really, dont buy a psp just for VCS, buy it for all the great games coming out, and the ones that are already out, hell, they even have greatest hits title now! And if you want only VCS but dont want to buy a psp, well im sorry but youre out of luck. If youre lucky, theyll port it, but truthfully, there isnt a great chance of that happening. Whats going to happen when GTAIV comes out? Are you going to complain that they didnt release it for ps2 because you cant afford a ps3? And if you do miss out on VCS, its not the end of the world. Me walking to shul, GTA dialogue blaring from earplugs: If youve got your earplugs that loud, youre going to go deaf soon, so good for you, and if thats your attempt at spelling "school", put the videogame down for a few days and try to pay attention to your teachers. StarJet905
Why doesn't anyone think of a PC Version? Frankly, I think a PC version is really necessary. Pity that doesn't think that way.
Snake Without a Tongue
Shul = Synagogue, but it's Yid for school. Me = no PSP so everything I said was hypothetical. I've played LCS on a borrowed one. It wasn't unbearable, but I don't game enough to make purchase worthwhile. R* = better port VCS! But if they don't I'll live. I'll just borrow it from friends. Dudman
Well I have said this many times before just a thought but if LCS was ported then VCS shall be aswell.
tekkenfreek233
Many PS2 owners will be very dissapointed if GTA: VCS is not ported, because many of them are a "I'm not buying a PSP for 1 game" person (like many did with LCS at the begining)...And about exclusivity... look LCS, the said exclusivity and we have it for PS2... But, we will have to wait... The only reason I bought my PSP was for GTA
topdogkiller
yea vcs isn't the only good psp game coming out you also have metal gear portable ops , gangs of london could be good but then again all the getaway games suck. And silent hill origins comes out in like december.
JLC
The only reason I bought my PSP was for GTA And we have a winner xD!! PS2 porting please!! well, if they don't, i'll buy True Crime xD!!! (no, i'm kidding) So I say again, time will tell....
Agent Ryder
what about pc !! Yeah Include the PC so LCS and VCS could have higher rating cuz of the PC version. R* must Port PC also i cannot afford PS3 or 360 hard to finish GTA IV for PS3 or 360 Edited August 20, 2006 by Agent Ryder
Newbie41
Getting a PSP is well worth it.. There is alot of games comeing out... such as Metal Gear Portable Ops... Need for speed Carbon.. and a new Burnout.. And its so much fun... just get one when you can
topdogkiller
I didn't know there was going to be a new burnout. But what's also great about the psp is the homebrew downloads. Homebrew games and applications on the psp are more advanced than like the ds on downloading sh*t on xbox live. Like the emulators, i have a snes, sega genesis and n64 emulator and they work great. MP5
Rant time. Let me begin by asserting that I have my reasons for having to actually play GTA:LCS and GTA:VCS as it is released, and it isn't related to being a GTA fan or fun. Thanks to currency exchange, a bare PSP still costs $700-$850 and is only available in small numbers in a few retail outlets from where I live. To add insult, it's virtually impossible to pay-to-play on a PSP as much as one can with a PS2 ($3-5 an hour). A slim PS2 (currently the most common console from my residence), still costs $175-$250. Handheld games, especially those from the PSP, are unheard of except to the folks in cities. This virtually makes the PS2 the only console platform that I am most familiar with, and have access to. You get the picture. Frankly, I don't expect most forum goers here to give a soot about my predicament. But consider yourselves lucky if a PSP is considerably cheaper and easier to obtain from where you live. At least you have the chance to get the game when or even before the game is released. I have to wait another six months before I could finally play GTA:LCS. I was never able to find the PSP version of GTA:LCS, btw.
