Jay 424 Posted August 15, 2006 This is one of those Cannes Film Festival acclaimed movies about teen suicide, not general light entertainment, but fairly heavy. This movie was filmed at my school over the summer break and it is totally freaky. 2:37 Just seeing the trailer with all these parts of my school it it weird to see it in a motion picture. And it is also weird because we have to wear uniform and we have our heads on straight, unlike the kids here in casual clothes and bumping themselves off. It hasnt been released yet, but I'll definitely see it just because I know where it was made. Are there any movies you have seen that are filmed in your locale? Or places you recognise? papanesta 19 Posted August 15, 2006 Apparently Unleashed (Danny The Dog) was filmed in Glasgow (maybe Edinburgh?), but at one point, St. Ninians students walk by in the background. That school is just round the corner from me.
Andyzoot 493 Posted August 15, 2006 Danny Dyer and Sean Bean were recently in my town (Gloucester) filming their new film and also the Hogwarts scenes from the Harry Potter films were filmed in Gloucester Cathedral. I think they filmed a little bit of the Da Vinci Code there as well.
darthYENIK 8,562 Posted August 16, 2006 I live in southern california, so plenty of hollywood movies are filmed all over the place. The most recent and the closest I can think of is, clerks 2. The resturant that they used is down the street from me. I didn't see them filming though.
Big Slow 34 Posted August 16, 2006 (edited) I've had a few films in nearby locales shot. I'd say the biggest was Ocean's 11 where they filmed a scene at the dog track for about a month. A movie called Palmetto was filmed somewhat nearby too, starred Woody Harrelson. They have an upcoming "Made" MTV episode coming up from my old high school too. Edit. Well apparently I've had a few others too I didn't know about including Lethal Weapon 3, Cocoon, and the highly acclaimed XXX film Pirates (which used the Bounty, a local famous ship, as the main filming location). None of these movies were actually fully shot here, just bits. Edited August 16, 2006 by Big Slow

Jay 424 Posted January 18, 2007 What's so messed up about it? I'm hungry for info now. Incest Teen Pregnancy Rape Uncontrolled urination Closeted homosexuality Homosexuality Drug use Bullying Bulimia Suicide (makes for a very graphic climax - someone slits their wrists at 2:37pm) Somehow, it is all in there. Chalk 251 Posted January 18, 2007 My brother saw this movie when it came out. Told me a bit about it and basically spoilt the whole movie for me but said I should watch it one day. Will do.
