FlamingAfro
OS : XP : Media Center Edition SP2 Video Card : ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300 64MB with Directx 9.0c Processor : Intel Pentium M 1.7GHZ RAM : 512 MB Laptop system. Ok guys, I'm having a problem. I haven't been in the game before, I dont have gta_sa.set in my User Files. Everytime I get into the NVIDIA screen at the beginning ( sometimes I get up to the title screen ) it says that gta_sa.exe has encountered an error and needs to close. Need help. San Anzeas
first of all I believe that the gta_sa.set file is created in my documents/gta san andreas user files only when u successfully start the game(get to main menu) and make changes in options and exit game!!! but u havent even reached the main menu. is ur game a pirated version? Maybe it could be due to corruption or missing of some .dll files. Edited August 8, 2006 by San Anzeas
balmung03
I would suggest reinstalling the game; since you haven't successfully started it up yet it looks like, you won't be losing anything. If reinstalling doesn't do anything, see if there are updated versions of the drivers you currently have on your graphics card(s), and while you're at it, check your sound drivers as well (couldn't hurt to get up to date drivers). If that doesn't do anything, I could try sending you my gta_sa.set file and see if that works at all, but I don't think it would.
FlamingAfro
I am quite sure it is not my video card since I already installed it sometime ago. I am just reinstalling it cause I miss it. I have reinstalled it 3 times already. I'm not sure, I just bought it off a stand. It looked quite original though.

jarjar
Bump. Please don't do that, it's considered spam here . is ur game a pirated version? Don't ask that question, because depending on the answer the user may be banned. Now if have reinstalled the game a number of times. Try uninstalling it, as well as then removing all (if any) files left in the games installation location with is usually C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas by default. Then restart your computer and try reinstalling again. If that doesn't work, then i would try contacting Rockstar .
FlamingAfro
I've reinstalled and reistarted and done that a couple of times now. There seems to be something wrong with the game, but I'll try to contact Rockstar. Thanks or the heads up
