wwhd Posted August 7, 2006 Share Posted August 7, 2006 Need some help... During the yakuza missions, the game sort of 'freezes' after the cutscene, leaving only a black screen. The disc is brand new w/o a scratch, and the ps2 is in perfect shape. This happened a few times, and it seems its a ingame fault, and not due to damage to the disc or ps2. is there anyway around this? i hate having to keep starting over... Also i have a problem with my garages. Sometimes they wont open when i approach...even if theres room left in the garage. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
saintdave Posted August 7, 2006 Share Posted August 7, 2006 I had the black screen once before, no way around it, which is why I always save my game after each mission. Just double check the disk make sure there isn’t any scratches or smudges, just give it a clean, same for the disk tray when you open the PS2. Again I have had the same with garages, you walk up to them practically touching them and they don’t open, I think this is just a short delay because they do tend to afterwards, the same thing happened on occasion when I played San Andreas. Hmm.......try bringing the game back to the shop for a replacement if it's really giving you grief, although I don't know what in the hell could be causing it. Thankfully I haven't had that problem yet, but thereagain I don't have the game that long. Also i have a problem with my garages. Sometimes they wont open when i approach...even if theres room left in the garage. Don't worry about that. That's normal as far as I can make out. Just walk away and come back after a minute. GTA_Loco Posted August 26, 2006 Share Posted August 26, 2006 Try some of these small methods with the garage if at all they'd work for you. Not fail proof though but worked just fine with me on most ocassions: 1. Enter the safehouse, wait for about 3-5 secs then go out again and approach the garage. 2. Change your clothes, then approach the garage door or walk into the disc icon then cancel saving, go out then approach the garage. 3. Step very near the garage door with Toni's body touching it already, then pan the camera view left or right, your action consequently sort of having a "penetrating view" through the garage. Sometimes you can see the inside partially, especially in the case of the Staunton garage, then hold the angle of view this way til the door opens. AndyGanteks Posted August 27, 2006 Share Posted August 27, 2006 never happened to me but it did happen in san andreas in the last mission after i drop off sweet and after the cutscene it turned black i had to restart 5-6 times until it started to work...Luckily no such thing yet on LCS.And my garages open perfectly which is strange cause i needed time to open them up in VC and SA Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
