CheatDevice on 2.7? HELL YES! [actually, no]

hellomoto, allow me to corect all the false info you have stated in that post.

 

1. they are trying to crack fermware versions 2.8 and 2.81. 2.7 and 2.71 have already been cracked.

 

2. as far as i know, devhook is a 1.5 only aplication. 1.0 is not what you want to use to run it. with a 1.5 firmware psp you can emulate any firmware up to 2.71

 

3. playing on a 1.0 psp is not posible, this is true. you were right about that. but why does anyone have 1.0 when 1.5 has everything.

 

4. about the new firmware building a wall. no. through a new exploit found it is possible to run some homebrew on firmwares as high as 2.8. there have even been a few downgrades done succesfuly on 2.7 (and i think, but don't quote me on it, 2.8) psps, tho it's not all that often that the downgrader worked. i beleave it was a 1 in ten chance that it would succed and the rest of the times nothing happened.

 

for information on homebrew on firmware higher then 2.6, go to psp-hacks.com and read the news posts from about a week ago. maybe farther. also look for info on the downgrader.

 

this post was not ment to flame anyone, so do not take it as such. it was ment simly to get news out about some developements that haven't seemed to make it to this comunity yet.

1. his post was refering to gta, and cheat device. so no, 2.7/2.71 hasn't been cracked yet. since CD won't work on those firmwares.

4. what does that have to do with gta, or CD? and just to educate you,m there have been more than a few downgrades on 2.7, there have been hundreds. and there have been none on 2.8 since the same kernal exploit doesn't exist. and it isn't a 1/10 chance of it working. there's a small chance of it not startying up, but once it does start up there is about a 7/10 of it downgrading to 1.5 and not bricking. the startup rate has nothign to do with the success rate.

dude to downgrade i think u need 2 use this thing called devhook and then downgrade 2 firmware 1.5 n then u can emulate firmwares above 1.5 but with downgrading u have to be careful cos ur psp cud brick

LoL. CheatDevice wont work on 2.7, and besides if you have 2.7 and want CD, just downgrade and DevHook it.
