R* is really going to give us an amazing experience again, on consoles, and on a handheld. LCS was a bit of a dissapointment. It was too short, the soundtrack honestly sucked, and it didn't really do anything new. I still love LCS, don't get me wrong. I can also see why LCS wasn't so innovative, and why they didn't try to do something entirely new. LCS, as I have said before, tested the waters. They were experimenting with the PSP platform. Now, they have honed the engine they created, and they are really bringing GTA to a level we haven't seen before. Just look at the stuff in the preview. They are not only going to give us a proper VC game, but they're also innovating and bringing new gameplay mechanics to the GTA franchise. Something we thought we would end up waiting till GTA IV to have. No, they're giving it to us this October. We have jetski's, improved water animations, improved ped animations, an improved effects engine. Improved weather effects, most noticable in that screen with the amazing sunset. And that hurricane tease they gave us, I know they're gonna do something amazing with that hurricane. I can imagine the game running parallel to the life of the hurricane. As you start out, you can feel the current in the ocean is a bit harsh, with a lot of waves and such. The water grows more furious as your progress through the game, and culminates in a full blown hurricane in the climax of the storyline. That's my idea. And that is just from one preview! Imagine the other stuff they have lying in wait for us. We might even have fully modeled sharks and other marine life. We might get some incredible new hidden vehicle. We might have some kick-ass new heavy weapons. We might have some cameos from notable characters we've seen before, similar to Claude in SA. I can't wait for VC Stories, I know R* is going to give us one hell of a game. I'm going to be there on launch day, and I'll be playing all night long. Anybody else really hyped about it? lurchseesu420 Posted August 7, 2006 Share Posted August 7, 2006 im hyped about it enough that im gonna buy a psp this christmas. then in june i willl buy the ps2 version cause i no it will have better controls. i have lcs for ps2 and it really ate me up inside to not be able to play it for six months on the psp. the hype seems to have gone through the roof since people saw the screenshots. especially the one with the jetski. so yea im definately hyped about it. Yes dude I concur hevily. Well I really am looking foward to VCS, it's gonna be the best GTA to date. Hell Vice City is way better than SA, so VCS will be even better than VC, as said before. Not all that much of a difference. lcs also was the first game were you could sprint with bigger weapons like shotguns,assalt rifals, m60s, and chainsaws. you couldnt sprint as fast as you could with smgs or pistals or fist but u could still sprint. eventually you would get tired need to rest just like regualar sprints. also it was the first game where you auto target with the minigun, m-60, and flamethrower. they were little things but if you play enough you were really able to appreciate them. but other than what you said and what i said nothin else was new. I'm so f*cking anxious i know it's gonna be out in two months but it fels like a year everyday i think about it, the hours get slower. The havis whole hurricane efect gets me more crazy, what if there's a mission where you try to get some stuff from a beach house when a humongus hurricane arupts and you have to escape on a jetski, avoid rubble and other obstacles on the sea. Posted August 7, 2006 Share Posted August 7, 2006 This game, and it's features doe smake it seem like a new console game, i just hope by soem miracle they can add good graphics, perhaps a little better than LCS, or the same, as some of the shots show some below average texturres, however, i'm sure in motion the game will be better. Regarding the hurricane, i doubt it'll have many physical effects to the game, perhaps a missing building at some point during the game maybe, like in LCS where one was blown up for Donald Love. But really I was only expecting something like LCS, which still would of been a kick ass game. Yet they are taking VCS to a whole new level not only for the portable series, but GTA itself. victor-vance Posted August 8, 2006 Share Posted August 8, 2006 i was pretty miffed with lcs but i nearly had a heart attack when vcs was announced and with every bit of info we get the more hyped i am its typical of rockstar to starve us and gradualy feed us info my idea of a hurricane: hard to move player hard to handle car no peds/cars paper and the odd ped/car flying round high in the air air craft very very difficult to control i doubt much physical damage would be done even what ive written is probly optimistic but it would be pretty cool itd be cool if police like blocked off bridges ect make it a bit more real heehee im so psyched VC was the best atmosphere out of all the gtas i think i hope in vcs they capture the 80s perfectly aswell oh yeh i think u will be able to change clothes cus in one screen hes wearin a wet suit on a jet ski and in another hes wearin casual shirt ect sorry bout the rant Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

6ixth.S3nse Posted August 8, 2006 Share Posted August 8, 2006 vice city was easily the best GTA game to date in my opinion. the soundtrack,the setting,the feel of it was all such a great experience that i may go rebuy it for PS2 to get ready for VCS. i bought LCS and was pretty pleased and just in awe for a month that i had a GTA game in my hands at all times that looked so much like its console counterparts. i cant wait to have VCS in my collection and with all the new features it will surely bring new life to vice city. hope some official previews come soon! WastedEngland Posted August 8, 2006 Share Posted August 8, 2006 (edited) I am REALLY hyped up about this game hopefully the hurricanes will be VERY different to the usual GTA thunderstoms and hopefully the hurricanes will have a random occurance at anytime in the game and not just once-only, mission based like LCS snow. Not all that much of a difference. the biggest improvement from 3 to VC is the awesome story. gosh... so pessimistic. LCS previews didnt talk about every feature now did it? Im sure vcs will have a ton of new stuff. anybody forget how big the missions will be? Im most excited about the storyline (in every gta). Sometimes i just do missions to see the cutscenes again!
