hey everyone, I've just bought a pre-owned San Andreas from PC, and I would like to use my PS2 controller to play it, problem is, I can't remember the PS2 controls and the manual didnt come with it. sad.gif

I've looked all over for controls but I cant find em sad.gif

I've had a go at trying to map them but it seems I cant target people with the controller or pause the game. So could someone be kind enough to tell me the exact controls (PS2 version) and how to map the target button and pause button?

Many thanks in advance, and apologies if I have posted in the wrong section.

the pause button is START, and to select targets it's R1 (R2 and L2 to scroll between targets).

as far as how to map them, i've never tried it myself; however, i thought that ps2 controllers bought to plug into the pc already have controls mapped on them?

unfortunately the game doesnt have joypad controls already mapped.

The problem with the pause button is, there isnt an option to choose a button for pause, you must press esc to pause game.

Also there doesnt seem to be a seperate button for targeting, if you look on the control setup, it shows "next weapon/ Target" & "previous weapon/Target" I've tried to target people using the controller but i cant. The only way i can do it is by using the mouse.

Someone please help sad.gif

thanks anyway mate, I managed to get a friend to post all the controls from the PS2 version. however, there are some im not sure about.

I've figured out the target button (Aim Weapon), and I also managed to get the zoom in/out functions to work on the D-pad. The action button I've yet to try (is it triangle on PS2?).

The vehicle controls. I have no idea what the Special Controls do (currently binded to numpad arrow keys). Is it possible to make it so that you can accelerate/ brake with the right analog stick?

if you mean action button by entering/exiting a vehicle, then yes, it is triangle. if you mean action by punching/firing/throwing/swinging for the various weapons, then it's circle.

special controls do various things; in the hydra, the up and down special controls change the orientation of the jets, allowing you to hover or go to a full-on forward. in any vehicle, the right/left special controls just allow you to look 90 degrees left and right of your vehicle, except in the case of the fire truck, as wherever you look the water hose on top follows, so in that vehicle the special controls for left and right allow you to circle the vehicle, and change the direction of the hose. it appears through my experience the up/down special controls have no other purpose than to adjust the jets on the hydra.

as far as using the stick to accelerate, if you can find out how to map those controls to those buttons, i think it'd work, but then the buttons might be mapped there for the other uses of those buttons while on foot.
