Up, Up And Away

i am stuck on the mission Up, Up And Away where you have to steal the sky crane. i drive up to where the military thing is, a car is coming out and the gates open, i drive in and i can't find anywhere to go to get upto the helicopter. i did find a ladder but i dunno if you can use it or not. on the walkthrough it says you can use the jetpack. i don't have a jetpack, where do you get one? if it's through cheats i don't want to do it just yet as i have not used one cheat to get as far as i am now. is the jetpack hidden somewhere?

when you drive in, there's a hangar to your left. some soldiers should come running out of it. go through there, turn right then left. you'll see some stairs leading up to the roof. of course, soldiers are trying to stop you, so watch out. the hangar is particularly deadly. make sure you have a sniper rifle so you can scope out the scene before entering. good luck.

 

EDIT: you get the jetpack after passing green goo, the final airstrip mission. it will spawn at verdant meadows airstrip.

oh right, i'll have a look when i play again. yea thats why i don't have the jetpack yet, i haven't done any airstrip missions.
