Rock Howard
Obviously Victor Vance is the guy who at the beginning of Vice City has the briefcase for Tommy and the Forellis right? The guy who says "pure Columbian my friend". Anyone else think it's odd that he sounds Hispanic?
RaifalM3n
lol yeah
Riding shotgun
He looks to be porta-rican/black. Although, he does sound Cuban.
Parky.
He's a US marine. Try looking in the VCS section.
Canoxa
When Vice City was made back in 2002, there were no plans for a Vice City Stories. Something changed from back then, so tney had to change something as well.
saintdave
He's a US marine. Try looking in the VCS section. What has that got to do with his accent and ethnic origins? It’s fair to say he doesn’t sound American but we most likely find out about where he is from in Vice City Stories.
Fubu
Yep, Victor Vance is not talking too good English in Grand Theft Auto:Vice City, but i just wanna know what kind voiceactor Vic got in Vice City Stories.
pdescobar
I always thought his accent was a little weird, too, given Lance's voice. But, they could be half-brothers with Victor having a more Latino background. Additionally, you only see him in VC as part of a drug deal with people he's never done business with before. Perhaps he is simply disguising his voice with an exaggereated fake accent to be extra careful.
Justin
Yeah, seeing as Victor Vance has become popular/publicised due to VCS, I might just send this topic over that-a-way. More people will know what you're on about there. Oh, and topic title edited to better reflect contents.
Seddo
yeah he is probally putting it on or when they made VC they werent planing VCS like someone said so they have g=had to make a brand new storyline so Vic Vance would have to have some things changed about him
Rock Howard
I always thought his accent was a little weird, too, given Lance's voice. But, they could be half-brothers with Victor having a more Latino background. Yeah possibly. I just found it interesting, as it's obvious that Victor in that deal was established as Lance's brother even back then before the whole VCS concept even existed, yet he has that columbian-like accent. Will be interesting to see if he stil has that accent in VCS.
topdogkiller
i think he was inspired by the whole idea of the big cuban and columbian drug dealers so he just probably used that accent because he likes scarface Edited August 7, 2006 by topdogkiller
scalliano
Maybe that's how he does business After all, it's not as if Tommy, Ken, Harry or Lee know that he's a marine
AngelDude
Maybe he was working undercover for the goverment and wanted to life a free live so he faked his accent and got shot by blank bullets.
Royal55
or maybe vic was sent to cuba or puerto rico when he was in the marines and he was there for a while and he had to learn there language. and when he came back in 84' he had a spanish or cuban accent making him seemingly talk different
