jetninjablack
I downloaded edisoncarters water level mod , where you are supposed to be able to flood SA or just fill up the canals...hopefully someone has seen it. There was no instructions with it , only an .exe prog , that when I run it it supposedly let's me input water levels & wave intensities. That bits easy enough to follow but i get no change in the game , am I loading it up in the wrong directory ? or do I need to be running or loading it up via another programme like I use to load up the speedo.dll module ???? I did try searching for the forum for an answer or info relative to this problem , but the forum wouldn't let me search , it's been disabled & I am supposedly not logged in thanks JB

jetninjablack
Google came up with sort of an answer for this problem. http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=195792&st=0 Hmm I have to use google to search this message board , how convienient. I'm going to mess around with my main GTASA folder name &/or check some of the other versions of GTASA I have installed on the PC to see if the prog has modified any of my water.dat & other water related files.... GTA3Freak-2001
What version of the game do you have? If its V2.0 then that may be the reason why this won't work. For me it works no matter where I load the program from.
jetninjablack
I'm pretty sure it's not version 2 , I bought this version of the game on DVD from some Russian guys when it was first released ,99.9% complete & easily backed up onto other DVD's I also have 2 different Australian release versions of the game , one bought on the release date & another later one with a few minor differences between the 2.... Anyhow. The problem is solved , the water level prog found another GTASA game on my PC to modify the 2 water.dat files in. So I put the originals into my "Standard file folder" ( a handy folder to create) then dropped the modified ones into the russian version I'm playing. The canals are now full of water with waves coming thru it & I have got it so that most the peds will swim , fall off their bikes & get back on , or drive thru a wave rather than die , the cops will still drown tho JB
