These are how to boost your ranking- $5000 = 1 Point Killing a civilian = 1 Point Completing a mission = 5 Points Blowing up a vehicle = 5 Points Blowing up a helicopter or plane = 30 Points Getting Busted/Wasted = -3 Points Using a cheat = -10 Points this is ign.com's list of how you raise your rank; i'm not positive, but i think killing gang members also raises it a little, and killing your own gang members lowers it a little as well. that might be respect i'm thinking of, so don't take those last two as fact.
