Cut Scenes & Sound Probs

512mb Ati 1900xt (latest drivers)

Defragged after installing game

Used run dxdiag to turn sound acceleration down

 

Hi guys

Well I'd only been playing for a few minutes before I decided to apply the patch because of sound/cut scene problems.

I did get to see the opening cut scene though where Carl starts at the Airport. But then I get home and step in the

marker - "Big Smoke" caption appears quickly followed by "Sweet & Kendl" and then there's a sudden drive by.

 

 

So I applied the patch, lowered GFX detail - 16bit, radio off and turned subs off. Now the opening scene cuts too quick to Carl in the cop car & there's no voices.

When I get home the "Big Smoke" caption appears and I'm sitting in a car with someone. Nothings being said. It waits for me to

press the mouse to kill the scene.

"SWEET & KENDLE" when my group get shot during the drive by, they stand still, the game again waiting for me to end the cut scene.

 

Will all the cut scenes play like this? Is there else anything I could do to reduce the problems - with sound too?
