OpusChrist Posted August 4, 2006 Share Posted August 4, 2006 (edited) Hey... i just purchased Vice City and was all sorts of excited, only to discover that the game refuses to work for me. I have installed and uninstalled the game three times, in both my CD and DVD drives. After a successful load, when i start the application, the cursor becomes the large spinning CD symbol and then doesn't do anything. A task manager says that gtavc is running as a process, but not in the applications list, and there is no bar at the bottom of the screen. As i have never played this game before, there is no SET file (i checked anyway.) Any ideas? It's the PC version, and my computer is a Pentium 4, Windows XP, all the numbers are way above the stated system requirements. The only thing is that my DVD is only 8x-16x, but the box says 8x is the requirement. I close down all the background programs, including firewalls and the like.
