immortal4488 Posted August 4, 2006 Share Posted August 4, 2006 Hey Guys i've got some problem with the game in the mission 'The Driver'.I am able to win the race with hilary but i get a message that hilary is dead and the mission is failed. saintdave Posted August 4, 2006 Share Posted August 4, 2006 From the sound of it Hillary has taken damage while driving and his car has exploded. When the race starts you get a 2 star wanted level and the cops chase both you and Hillary so I can only assume that’s the reason. Just start again, if you have no trouble completing the race eventually you should pass it ok without Hillary dying. Posted August 4, 2006 Share Posted August 4, 2006 I have it for PC and I lost a few times because of a glitch that sent Hilary below that little bridge in Washington Beach, thus killing him and making me fail the mission. After that I was sent to the Vice Point Hospital as a consequence but that happened only once, then the next time, the same thing happened and then I didn't go to the hospital. On my fifth try, the glitch happened again but I won for some reason because of the glitch. So I was very confused. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Snake Without a Tongue Posted August 4, 2006 Share Posted August 4, 2006 That's one crazy glitch. I don't think Hillary's car can take damage (he isn't chased by cops either, which is so not fair). Its either a total glitch or (and this has happened to me a couple of times) at the last second of the race he's hitting the ramp in front of the night club and going into the water. ( Basically a cop manuever ) and he loses control and gives you time to get speed and get ahead of him. You may fail a couple times if you don't time this right.
