I've restarted the mod, and now the models have the same prelighting standards as in san andreas. Well, the TXDs are converted by Nitzkit, and the models by me. Will post some pics later on my progress.

 

BTW, the only thing why i stopped working on this mod was that, i've been busy with my real life..

 

The mod will contain the san andreas cars, instead of vc ones (maybe i'll do a sa styled sabre turbo, and other vehicles).

 

My plan is the following: When i've got done a big part of the map, i'll release a beta. The LODs, and other small things will come in a later beta or in the final version only.

 

And i'd really appreciate some help too, car converters, scm coders, and mappers are welcome!

I think you sohlu only make Venturas and the desert, and leave Los Santos, San Fierro and contryside only as un-solid LODS. That way you can make a Mafia based game with the Forellis, Sindaccos and Leones.

This is great, you should help out McKey with converting SA into VC for SOL. At the moment hes the only one working on converting, I converted the countryW and the counrefx files which he got into the game, but thats about it so it would be great if you could help. smile.gif BTW, how are you converting the binary .ipls?

Looks pretty good.

 

Masterk: Looks like your doing a bang up job.

 

I would like to use your models, this way I can catch up with the progress of the mod and finish of the other islands aswell.

 

Cancer city, Waterful island and Mainland liberty, Creating the stuff to connect to LC''s tunnel with an old west kind of ghost town where the LC bank was.

 

When I do get these maps into SOL, I will need to remap all the IPL files, CORDS (X0, +Y5000, Z+5) and redo the ID allocation, because some of these objects will have to use VC generic, this means all traffic lights will be working, Streetlights and have breakible objects.

Now, i've started converting some animations from san andreas:

Vice City has a size limit. if you haven't notaced, driving or boating too far out to see makes you hit an invisible wall and trun around, mapping stuff outside of these "walls" causes the game to crash, because there is not enough room.

Yep.. Those walls are the world bounds. But if u have Vice Limit Adjuster 2, u can edit the worldbounds, so i havn't got probs with it! cool.gif

Yep.. Those walls are the world bounds. But if u have Vice Limit Adjuster 2, u can edit the worldbounds, so i havn't got probs with it! cool.gif

 

 

 

There will be a point where you going to have problems, Andy has only addressed the boundrys, he hasnt sorted the IDE, TOBJ, 2DFX or MAX COL limit yet in his LA2.

 

Use SOL's exe patch.

 

And yes you have premission to use all the vehicles, and your going to need the EXE for SOL, because it can use more car slots. (200-600) (600-700 for weapons, other stuff)

 

If you going to use all the GTA vehicles. smile.gif

 

I can sort temp upload space on my own servers, but I suggest you talk to an Admin for GTAG, or pm me for other upload options.

If the look at the file ID list that comes with SOL, Your see i've free'ed up ID's 200 - 900, all the generic objects had been re-assigned to ID's 5000 snd above.

Can I ask how you converted the animations? I suppose you mimicked them and draggen the bones per frame to where they are in SA right? Or am I totally off? tounge.gif Please enlighten me, it's something I wish I had a long time ago but I was too lazy to do them.

Hey! It's easy..I use Kams ifp io script for max!

 

this what i do:

 

firstly im loading the tommy dff, and then the san andreas ifp...

select the animation, and apply it on the player dff

then open the vc ifp, and selecting the animation which got the same name as the san andreas one.. Then pressing replace button!

 

Then 3ds max will save the vc ifp automatically, and u just need to open up vc and see ur animation wink.gif

 

Oh, and after u done the convertin on the animation, dont forget to press the big "R" button says reset, on the IFP IO form before u do another one! xmas.gif

Ok m8s, i need some help! There wasn't updates because i've got a problem what i can't solve.. There's a model, casinoblock3.dff, and if i convert it to vc, and put it ingame, the game crashes... the COL is OK, the DFF is OK!

Platinumserb tested it, and on his comp, the game havn't crashed confused.gif

Yea, Im using a SOL exe that McKey sent me, maybe that is the problem. sad.gif

Will this work with a standard vc exe, like the original, euro, auzzie, and no-cd? Or only a SOL exe?
