More broad search abilities

It would be nice to be able to search ALL forums in a single operation.

 

It would also be nice to be able to search all forums related to one particular GTA game in a single operation.

 

For example, it would be nice to search all GTA San Andreas forums for "spray tags" (or whatever) instead of having to go into each category (gameplay, mission help, etc.) to search individually.

I thought that (before the search was temporarily disabled) you could do any of those.

Indeed, you could do those things.

 

This is from another forum, but it's still invision so it looked just like this on GTAF as well.

 

 

See how three different forums from the list are selected? All three of those would be included in the search. And the option underneath, "Select Child Forums" or whatever, would be like if you selected GTA Series here on GTAF, it would search all of the forums relating to GTA. Oh, and to select multiple forums just hold down on CTRL and click.

^ Used in tandom result in a more accurate collection of search results than the single-forum search located at the bottom of each forum - of which I believe is the only search you're acquainted with. I find it best to always set no restraints on post date.
