i just installed a car mon and when i tried to load a saved game it stopped half way. i deleted the mod and now whan i try to load my newest save it has the same name of the mission im in but it starts off with the intro movie

When loading a save causes a new game to start instead, there are two main causes.

 

1) The script files have been modified and no longer match the ones used to make the save. If you have installed any mission mods, this is most likely the cause; restore the original scripts if you backed them up or reinstall. Also, this happens with downloaded saves that were made on a different version of the game but that probably doesn't apply to you if that save was working before your mod problems.

 

2) Or, you are trying to load a game with the version 2 exe which was previously saved under the version 1 exe. This would generally only happen if you have two different versions of the game executable installed or you played that save on another comp with v1 and transferred the save over. To fix this, you would use the save ID patcher to make sure the save is recognized as version 2. There still could be script mismatch issues though as mentioned above (i.e. both problems could be present.)
