facugaich
My mom uncle uses this site (in spanish, but you don't need to read to help me) to pay her bills online. You enter and the you can login through the <-[censored]-> banner, in the top right of the site. For some reason, it doesn't work anymore in IE. When you click it nothing happens, a new windows is supossed to pop-up. I've tried: Tweaking IE security options: I lowered the security control for this specific web. Disabled some Sypot S&D stuff Used the site with FireFox, it works fine Used the site with Ares (IE engine) and it didn't work Also used FF with "IE Tab" extension, strange enough it did work No, using just FF is not an option this time. Maybe I'm missing some JS security configs or something? Also, it does work in other machines, afaik. EDIT: since problem is fixed I'll erase some info from the post, just in case. Forfit
Have you tried messing with pop-up blocker settings? Maybe you installed a program earlier that installed a pop-upblocker for you (hate when they do this) and it is stopping the window from coming up. facugaich
Well, at least I tried disabling Spybot's Immunazation... I can't think of any program I installed recently that could have caused that. I forgot to ask: is tehre a way to "re-install" IE?
|Zephyr|
I forgot to ask: is tehre a way to "re-install" IE? Heres where you download IE6: Downlaod Internet Explorer 6 SP1 I'll just quote two ways to do it, first one is from the microsoft site so probably follow that: Windows XP and Windows XP SP1: Edit the registry and install Internet Explorer 6Warning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. When you try to reinstall the same version of Internet Explorer, you may receive the following error message: Setup has detected a newer version of Internet Explorer already installed on this system. Setup cannot continue. To avoid this error message and reinstall the same version of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express, follow these steps: 1. While you are logged on as an administrator, click Start, and then click Run. 2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK. 3. Locate the appropriate registry subkey, right-click the IsInstalled (REG_DWORD) value, and then click Modify. To reinstall only the Internet Explorer 6 browser component on Windows XP, use the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383} To reinstall only Outlook Express 6 on Windows XP, use the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{44BBA840-CC51-11CF-AAFA-00AA00B6015C} 4. Change the value data from 1 to 0, and then click OK. 5. Quit Registry Editor, and then install Internet Explorer 6. Source = Here Method II The second method to try and correct the problem involves editing the registry and reinstalling Internet Explorer 6. The standard cautions apply whenever you are editing the registry. If you need help on how to backup the registry, click here. If you are having problems only with Internet Explorer 6, proceed as follows: [start] [Run] [Regedit] Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383} Modify/Create the Value Data Type(s) and Value Name(s) as detailed below. Data Type: DWORD // Value Name: IsInstalled Setting for Value Data: [Change the Value from 1 to 0] Exit Registry Once you have made the appropriate registry changes use the link below to download and install Internet Explorer 6. The Internet Explorer 6 download includes Outlook Express 6. Reboot and test for proper operation. fuckindumass
You could try HiJack This and check for a redirection, as well as other malicous deeds.

Please don't do that. Edited August 3, 2006 by Sweets PяopagaиdaIиc.
