MJ2k
a cassete tape was never used as computer storage either, but they used it in vice city... Yes they were.... Games used to come on tape casettes. My brother still has his old ATARI with a casette drive.
GTAThomas
Well CDs weren't developed until the mid-late 80's. I'm thinking a Gramaphone Record. Says here they were used to store computer data in the 80's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gramophone_record
BlackStar2k
If the save icon has to be a medium used for storing data from a computer then it might a punch card. That is so early 20th century. Maybe a hard disk drive would be used. That replaced the punch card. I don't know if they will use the floppy disk again even if it's a different size. If they do, they might got with the 5 and a quarter or 8 inch disk. Hey, even a laserdisc may be used. It would be like 3 times bigger than the cd icon in LCS. It might even be displayed as your table and you need to jump on it. I don't think it was ever used as a computer storage medium however. a cassete tape was never used as computer storage either, but they used it in vice city... That is untrue. Remember the intro from vice city? The parody on the Commodore 64? Last line it says : "Press play on tape" The first C64's only had a cassette deck to store data on. : Later they got upgrades like a 5 1/4 disk drive. Even the term downloading comes from that era. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floppy_disk I think the new save icon will be a 5 1/4 Inch floppy disk Edited August 5, 2006 by BlackStar2k

victim225
8-Track sounds good but I like the sound of recorder even though it's a bit seventies. I reckon the Mission think will be either orange or green. But what im really interested in is what the hidden packages will be. In GTA3 cocaine. In Vice City once again Cocaine except in a little tiki statue. San Andreas tried to mix it up and it became pretty cool with the camera and spray paint it was just annoyin g if you found one but didnt have spray paint/camera. Las Venturas had Horse Shoes which is clever seeing as how people use them for luck. LCS had the Rocker Key Chain which destroyed my theory that they were all drugs of some form. (even though they wernt drugs in San Andreas but they kept the feel for the appropriate city.) So it brings me to thinking what it will be for VCS. Hopefully something really clever. Oh and I forgot about Oysters.
