Um, am I right in thinking you are being somewhat disingenuous? You've taken the time and trouble to reflect on what is wrong with the game (a lack of flying, mostly) but you couldn't be bothered to read a review before purchasing it? Any half decent review or preview would have alerted you to the fact that flying did not feature. Something about your story doesn't quite add up - especially the opening comment about "bad top rated [Xbox 360] games". What's your agenda here, exactly? It seems you've taken far more time and effort defaming the game than you took to research it prior to your purchasing it. I played this game and it sucks and explained why. You better stop being ignorant. tim dog go to a videogame site and look at the games xbox360 has and those coming up for 360 if this isnt next gen i dont know what is the system isnt going to reach its full potential its first year none have now look at the games coming out for ps3 theyre the same games except theyre coming out in a year and are more expensive p.s. if you gave up on the game after noticing no drivable airplanes you problably didnt play much, there are other things to free roaming than flying look at graphics, fun, soundtrack, voice actors, and a number of other things the game doesnt suck its better than LAST gen gta's and is as good visually as any game out NOW thats not to say that the next gta wont be better the reason everyone is reacting to your opinion this was is that your opinion is biased and you havent stated anything besides the fact that you think xbox360 sucks and so does SR, opinions are like a**holes everyone has one EDIT: they should have given the side missions a storyline to mix it up cause they get very cumbersome and repetative Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Posted September 12, 2006 Share Posted September 12, 2006 I got to the part of the game with the Los Cornales and the Vice Kings and i've done as much as i can, i rescued King and killed that foregin guy in both mission strands, now there are no mission markers left, have i finished those missions? Big f*cking deal if GTA had them, Saints Row isn't GTA and never will be. Saints Row is the first game in what I'd assume be a series of atleast another game, you can't expect it to be a full blown success like GTA which is on its third major outing and soon to be fourth. I can imagine one being a sequel to Saints Row, but the other two, hmm.. they made the Punisher game, so maybe it'll get a free roaming sequel (one can dream, eh ). Although I like Dead Rising, I've been keeping my fingers crossed for an open world zombie game for quite some time, survival horror + gta-esque fun = me happy. The tags apeared again, but then dispaeared after 5 minutes but now if you just tap A then he sprays them so I managed to get them all. I got 100% now, but it didnt give me anything for it, NOT EVEN AN ACHIVEMENT. god damn cheapskate c*nts. FuLL_CLiP Posted September 16, 2006 Share Posted September 16, 2006 i think i would honestly get sr over gta if they came out at the same time... the companies name is THQ and they could have added other types of transportation unlike gta that just couldnt at the time and it would have added more to the already great story but that doesnt matter because it was a great game even people who are diehard gta fans should love the game because its going to make r* step it up, they cant get by on (if you cant do one thing good do many things bad) anymore my biggest dream has been a cross between splinter cell, the punisher, and free roaming can you imagine that... It's better than all of the GTA games. There's a good chance it's the best sandbox type game ever made thus far. I hope Rockstar takes some pointers. Seriously. There's a couple games that are very "Next Gen." You have CoD2, Oblivion, and Madden. But in the humour stakes...it doesnt even come close to GTA, no chance. Im glad i bought it though, Insurance Fraud is one of the best side games ever. However despite playing a Rollerz mission where I have to defend trucks from oncoming Rollerz only to find that despite eliminating every roller on the map at the end the game wouldnt progress every time. I find myslef even more perplexed than the average drunkard with a rubix cube. How the **** **** **** **** **** can any of you prefer this to GTA? Clearly I have read your points and noticed that one Bad Old Puddy Cat appears to be very defensive about the game but I just find the dialouge poorer than a third world country. Everything is so overly coarse and unfunny, be it 'Freckle Bithces' (???????) or Will shouting 'I'll be ready as soon as this bitch is off the cock!!', presumably he farms chickens which would actually add a slight amount of humour to the game. I find the store robbing and safe cracking poorly implemented, not once have I ever met resistance from a shop keeper, infact I very rarely meet resistance from anyone in the game unless it's the use of over the top rocket launchers towards the end of a mission when the producers children got bored of creating the game. Storylines are just sh*t, I done a Carnales mission for Julius (the coolest character in the game who is the least seen in the game apart from that bloke in the hot dog suit) where I had to tag up a warehouse or whatever to show up my opponents. Despite the fact it's not exactly a perfect implementation of tagging the only people who saw my work were the police who must of picked up the bodys of 600 dead Carnales as I killed everyone in sight with my pistol. Collecting money at 2k a time when im owning 18 territorys making over 40k a day is pathetic even when you upgrade to a new pad which is considerably underdeserved you still cant collect big amounts. Dont get me wrong im happy I have the game and I enjoy it before everyone shouts 'Take it back then noob' but with a storyline and a character that make you feel that your watching thorugh the curtains of someones front room rather than being involved in a well articulated funny piece of gold, why even use Saints Row and GTA in the same senetence?
