Jordan
When searching through the individual texture files from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, I stumbled on two interesting things that may have connections to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. First, this magazine cover is sitting on top of Tommy Vercetti's table in his Ocean View Hotel room: It says "Confessions of a Network ______." The last word is too hard to make out, and the rest of the words on the magazine cover are too small to even guess at. It's Lance Vance on the cover possibly supposedly laying down on water or a mirror or some sort of surface that mirrors images. Interesting nevertheless. The second and much more interesting find is this sign which appears outside of Ken Rosenberg's office: The words "Since 1984" appear on the sign (Vice City Stories takes place in '84) meaning that Rosenberg practiced law in Vice City beginning in '84, so I'm going out on a limb and unofficially confirming that Ken Rosenberg will be in the game! If you want to see these in your "gta3.img" file for youself, look in "northbuild.txd" for "KRlawsignew_128" and also in "hotelroomint.txd" for "hotmags1." Lastly, I updated the Vice City Stories Overview page (http://planetgrandtheftauto.gamespy.com/Vi...o.Detail&id=156) with instructions on how to see more of Victor Vance in the 2002 release of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Stay tuned! - from http://www.planetgta.com

Jordan
Excellent observation. We might get to see him start his company. I scoured through at least 30% of the textures in Vice City, looking for clues and such, but didn't find much.

Demain
Very Nice work, Although i knew this minor detail ( I usually look at stuff like that ingame) It never occured to me. Keep up the good work!
GTA3Freak-2001
Yeah I am sure Ken will pop his head in somewhere, whether you help him start is law firm or what.
Jawsh
There's probably a mission with Ken in the game. ''Infiltrate law school and swap files with someone else'' It does say on the official Vice City website that he cheated on his exams.. So Victor might have helped him do it! And Ken and the Vance brothers do know each other, because he mentions them before they meet up in Vice City.
Vanilla Shake
Maybe the "Mirror" image of Lance is a reference to the end of the game, which, I'm sure everyone knows by now, and that the image is indicating that he is "Two-Faced". Anyway, I'm sure that Ken Rosenberg will start the lawfirm in VCS. It kind of adds up as it says 1984, and it all leads up to different mission possibilities, being that he "Cheated". Victor probably helped him out. TC718 / <629 / CF5
RaQnaR0ck
Hey! In Vice City Ken Rosenberg said 'Me? I couldn't intimidate a child and BELIEVE ME I TRIED'. Will Rockstar make something of that? Rockstar sometimes forgets little details...

Boy that picture says a lot. Why didn't we think of that before? I got a strong feeling of Ken Rosenburg appearing to Vice City Stories.
PyroHazard
Why wouldn't he? Rosenburg is favorite among fans. I think VCS will chronicle how Rosenburg and Vance became partners before Vercetti was in the picture.

True, and I have the feeling that Victor's and Lance's brotherly relationship was falling apart before the "last job."
topdogkiller
maybe rosenberg was more of a success in 84 before he got big into the coke
the ninja
maybe rosenberg was more of a success in 84 before he got big into the coke Rosenburg is a sucess in '86. He's the best lawyer ever. The entire city of Vice can watch Tommy kill over 1,000 pedestrians and police officers, but Tommy is out of jail in 6 seconds flat. Seriously, though, that's definitely plausible. ProXimity WarNing
That is quite a guess, but I feel I have some proof to counter it. At the beginning of Vice City, Tommy meets Ken at the airport to go meet the sellers at the docks. Victor Vance is the obvious seller and Lance operates the helicopter. However, Victor masks his voice with a columbian accent and is even quoted saying "100% pure Grade A Colombian my friend!". If he were to help Rosenberg start up his Law Firm in 1984 or just interact with him regardless, then why would Victor have to mask his true voice at the docks in 1986 if he had already previously known who Ken was? He would have been comfortable in selling to him and Tommy and would not have to have sold the merchandise even more by masking his voice. Just an opinion. Also, at the end of Vice City Ken tells Tommy "I never liked that Lance he was a prick, sell out, blah blah blah". I'm sure he would have met Lance since he and his brother are inseperable and apparently do missions together in VCS. Unless Victor does the missions by himself for Ken, this would not be possible. Just an opinion once again. But who knows, Rockstar will probably come up with something. -PW Edited August 3, 2006 by ProXimity WarNing

I think they used 1984 to kill the 3 year theory on purpose. Those jerks! Anyway it doesn't matter to me at least we know the fate of the theory, it has been debunked. It says "Confessions of a Network Programmer". Jordan made an update in the comments section on GTAplanet here. It's at the bottom and he said it's "Confessions of a Network Drugrunner".
