RadicalLeft62
Ok i think i got the crashing problem fixed. But I reinstalled the game and I am using v1.0. When i go to load game in the main menu, no save files show up, even though the save file is still in the GTA SA User Data Folder. Last time I reinstalled the saves were still there. Does anybody know what the problem is?
balmung03
are they named like "gtasasfX.b", where X is a number 1-8? if not, rename it to one of those and it should be fine. if it's already named like this, then i apologize for not being able to help. J3LM3R
I had the same sort of problem: I reinstalled my SA but now I can't use my old savedgames. I tried many thing like inserting my old main.scm and other savedgame related stuff. (like using my backup savegames) problem now is: everytime I save or load an old sovedgame it sais "savegame corrupted" even when I start a new game and play without codes, program's, trainers etc. just the way it was ment to be by R-games. it keep saying savegame corrupted everytime I try to load my backup savedgames or try to save in a new game. could use some help with this because I need my saved game for my mod (see sig.) (I expierienced this problem on a clean, unmodded SA) J3LM3R
pdescobar
@Radical: are you using the original game exe? Some of the no-disc cracks alter the save location. Also, are you playing under the same user account you used with the previous install? In your situation, I would back up any saves you currently have to a second directory, start a new game, then save in the first slot and see if that shows up in the list. If so, search your harddrive for GTASAsf1.b and you should then be able to find where to place your old saves to get them to load. @J3LM3R: Take a look at this topic, which was a fix for people whose savegames always loaded as "corrupted" due to SA being unable to handle non-standard characters in their Windows usernames: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=194371
