Yes, this has happened in the past too. With SA mainly. Though i wanted to let you guys know this is not actually Rockstars doing totally, it's just with having this info all over the Internet, when the other magazines are released no-one would buy them, because all the info was already out as well as screens. Thanks to adamcs for giving me all the important info on what happened . No big deal pals, all the info is out, and everyone had fun. And we know a hell of a lot more than we did before. First, it was a bit steep in price - $8.95 - I wouldn't mind paying that for a good quality magazine, but it wasn't. The first alarm bell that it wasn't of good quality was that it includes a "FREE GIFT INSIDE" - which was an old booklet about Nintendo Advance with some expired vouchers and the barcode scribbled out. The quality the articles were of very poor quality, consisting of immature rants against the OFLC, blatant spelling mistakes "Jack Tompson" instead of "Thompson", and an overall low editorial quality. Also, I found a lot of the content to be out of date. For example, coverage of LAST YEAR's E3, instead of talking about the upcoming E3 (which looks to be a flop). They had some information about current computer hardware, but it was recommending Pentium Ds as the latest and greatest - Ever heard of Core 2 Duo (Conroe)? The GTA:VCS article itself contains a lot of new information, but nothing that hasn't been quoted on GTANET. It is mostly ramblings on about non-GTA:VCS subjects that nobody cares about. The screens are not that impressive. The GTA4 article seems to be copied from GTANET's GTA4 mini-site, except while it attempts to separate "Fact" and "Fiction", ie: It says that things like the possibility of the location being outside of the USA is Fiction. I think what they intended was to make "Rumours" and "Confirmed" - Their 'Fictions' aren't confirmed either way. In short; save your $8.95, It's not worth having to put up with such a crap magazine just to scoop out a bit of info about VCS, which can be found on the web anyway (I'm not talking about or suggesting to get scans on the web, I'm talking about info, The scans are not worth bothering about). edit: And I just realised why they package it with plastic around it... because they know that the magazine is no good so they force you to buy it before you can have a look at what's inside. They won't be able to go around destroying all the buildings and then just magicly repearing them selfs. OR maybe the final mission will have a hurricane and the town gets destroyed. Perhaps there will be a whole other island that gets distroyed by the hurricanes in the last mission! Or, it will get distroyed after the end of the game... Cheers Better off anyway. The quality of the screen shots gets degraded when printed onto paper and then scanned with a scanner and then compressed into jpeg's. We got the information, and that's really all that matters when you already know what the city is like. Lol, judging by the poor quality, I'd say taking screenshots from a very early build with a crappy 1.3 MP digital camera, compressing it with jpeg on full compression, then printing it at a low resolution, scanning it, and compressing it with jpeg again, this time with a bit higher resolution. Not sure.. we've been able to post scans in the past without R* saying anything. I think this case is different though because this time it's a world exclusive. I mentioned last week that PSM2 & GamesMaster (and probably more) also have VCS previews planned, and I imagine most (if not all) of the content in these previews will be the same content we saw today. So if we allow GamePro scans to be posted, it kinda screws things for PSM2/GamesMaster and all the magazines that haven't shown it yet. ..I think. Well, that's very stupid IMO. If a magazine has the exclusive, why not let them enjoy it? Besides, what's the point of other reviews if they're all going to say the same thing?
