Pat Posted December 2, 2007 Share Posted December 2, 2007 (edited) Alright, I'm currently on the mission where you have to first take MC to the big boat in SF and kill all the guards, then cover him as he drives the Speeder to San Fiero. It's right after you kill the guy who lit your house on fire in the beginning. Now, I've done this mission once before, but now I have to redo it because after doing it, I found out that the only safehouses I can enter without crashing are the safehouses in the Desert and Countryside. At the end, as you know, a Sea Sparrow is supposed to attack you. Right now, the Sea Sparrow is not spawning. MC will drive to Toreno's, go past the dock, and just stop by the rocks. Then nothing happens. I've done this mission five times, each time with the same result. What am I supposed to do? And how can I enter normal safehouses without crashing? Edit: I tried the mission a sixth time, after letting my PC cool down a bit, and the heli spawned. I passed the mission, no problem. There's an issue I have though. On that mission, and the one where you and Ray attack the winery, the guy with the RPG shoots way too fast. It's like he's got infinite rockets. On "Up, up, and shoot!", after CJ gets off the Maverick, the game thinks he's holding both double 9MMs and the minigun, and therefore crashes. usfvampire Posted February 2, 2008 Share Posted February 2, 2008 A little translation fix. Fixes a lot of mistakes. Just put it in your /text folder in San Andreas directory. If it don't help, just go to options/language and change it to another one (no matter which) and then back to english. And now, mod is ready to be translated to Deutch, French etc. And one last thing - you can continue from previous save, that's just a text fix. Enjoy. Sandy Wich's Boy Posted March 30, 2008 Share Posted March 30, 2008 (edited) Hi, I found Great Theft Car a few days ago and downloaded v1.1 (edit: I checked the main.scm file, I have the patched file) After playing for a couple of days, I have found two problems with the game. 1. When trying to take over the business at the Blueberry Acres farm, the game always crashes between 5-10 seconds after starting the takeover. 2. When playing the first Woozie mission, 'Limo Protection', at the ambush cutscene, an enemy comes in and pulls Woozie out of the car and kills him during the cutscene, which results in Mission Failed when the cutscene ends. This can be avoided by skipping the cutscene, but viewing the cutscene in full results in failure every time. I'm running v1.00 of GTA San Andreas, if that helps. Just a couple of things to look into. edit 31/3: more things found 3. When playing the mission 'The Great Escape', if you exit the police station (after saving Mario and collecting his weapon) through the Western exit (the same place where you enter the police station) the game crashes. Since you are meant to exit through the eastern exit, maybe this exit should be disabled for this mission once inside the police station? Now a couple of REALLY strange things I've experienced. First, when placing the RC side missions, the helicopter mission would constantly crash the game. It also happened during the RC car mission, but only once. Anyway, after playing the RC car and plane missions, then exiting, the map went totally weird, it was showing I was over in Tierra Robada somewhere instead of San Fierro and it was going round in circles. In addition, there were no cars on the street. I could enter buidlings still, but could not save the game, and the garages still worked, but did not open, meaning that I was walking/driving cars through them without the doors opening. The game did not return to normal until after a business attack stated at pier 69 and I arrived at the pier. Another strange one was taking over the shopping center business in Las Venturas (the eastern most business in LV). When I triggered the takeover, it would say 'your business is under attack!' and allies would appear at this shopping center is if it had already been taekn over. The take over was still not a problem, but the police attention was much tougher, making the takeover much harder to complete. Anyway, those two things above were just a couple of really strange things that happened while playing. The third bug added above would need some attention though.
