CurrentlyCarrotfoot
WHats this topic about? Can you read you frakin' noob? The hardest thing in SA... yours didn't really describe it, Sureshot. More like most annoying. The hardest thing for me is probably trying to spray all the tags when you have a guide in front of you but have already done about 30 of them. I suppose it's not really hard, just f*ckboring...

Rhebus
The hardest thing in GTA SA is to actually perform a nice flight.... They make such a good game but totally forget about seperate flight controls.... You know, a plane is not a car u c.... Nice going Rockstar Games... Rhebus
Well on the PC version of SA theres no normal way to fly without completly rearranging my vehicle controls.... using (for a car) wsad to move and using my other hand for the mouse (to look around) for flying, with the same controls. I have to use the mouse for shooting (1 hand), wsad to respectively throttle and roll (what a stupid combination...) (and that makes two hands) and then use up and down to go up and down (which makes 3 hands). And no, im not using the mouse for steering cause that sucks mayor. I've never played a game where the mouseflight is so sucky. So, no mouseflying in there... So u c, i have to use three hands.... or as is said, rearrange the whole thing... saintdave
While on the subject of flying I'd say the hardest thing in San Andreas would be the flying school and the fact you have to do all manoeuvres even after you obtain the pilots licence. MrRottweiler
I think aircraft in SA are a bit of a bonus and although its not the same as a sim it does the job. It would be better it thay had an altimeter, ground speed and true air speed displays, machmeter, pitch and roll index, horizon situation indicator with localizer and glide scope capability, autopilot, collision avoidence system, and and inertial navigation system or better yet flight management system, 5-stage flaps, speedbrakes etc.. but then you need to map commands to them which can conflict with foot/car controls. For a better flight experience than SA get a flight sim. They are not toys and hard to learn but its soooo worth it. Correct compass headings on the runways would be nice too instead of '69' on all of them. Would it have bene too much trouble Rockstar?
Rhebus
Well, I'm just saying, that if you make a game with controlable aircraft in it, make it playable/believable. They made seperate car and foot controls. Why not for the aircraft? And the boats for that matter, althought boats are controlled the same as cars... But, anyway. I was playing the second Zero mission. Where you control an RC plane. After 20 mins I figured out some control settings that worked and do not interfere with the settings I already had. I finished the mission. So, I guess everything is allright now. Still, Rockstar, I hope the problem is solved in GTA LCS...

Would it have bene too much trouble Rockstar? the bold things in the quote ARE in SA, if I'm not mistaking. but when you have all that it would become too much of a flight sim, with people all over the place complaining they can't fly the planes, because it's too difficult. I like it now. as been said, if you want it realistic, get a flight sim. my settings for the plane controls are: CTRL + ALT: prim. shooting & sec. shooting up and down arrow keys: Throttle left and right arrow keys/ A & D keys: roll S & W keys: altitude Q & E keys: rudder and I can fly perfectly with them, while the normal vehicle controls are fine too. I can now fly even better than on my PS2 version. to Pedritararara: you can't enter Smoke's house since there's never been an interior for it, and Sweet and Ryder's house can be entered via the underworld (I think) but I don't know much about that. maybe you should search the forums a bit. and to stay on topic: I simply hate Wrong Side Of The Tracks. Yeah, at least with the tags you can see if you've already painted them. Try coming back after beating the game and trying to collect all the oysters and not knowing if you've already gotten one or if its just hiding at the bottom of the frikin ocean. I've read every guide and seen every map and I'm still 2 or 3 away from having them all...it sucks ass.
Timpo
that's why I never collect any oysters/other collectables unless I'm searching for them. oysters aren't that hard though. found them all in the first try. just take a sea sparrow and you have them all in no-time. (with a proper guide, ofcourse )
markiiu
Well, I don't find it too hard, I just can't find where to go to start dam and blast, but that's about all... Oh, and the stupid parachute killing me if I fall 5 feet... -Markiiu
MrRottweiler
Timpo, my point is exactly that. There is no point filling the aircraft with instruments as its not a flight sim. We use the same rudder controls but my other settings differ. My controls have been 'honed' over time and there has to be compromises. The altimeter is useful only because it shows you when you are climbing or descending but not actual height above ground. The HSI is also of benefit but there is no localiser on it. Unless you're talking about the line that appears on the map when you've near an airport? I didn't know about an autopilot either. Basic heading and speed hold would be good. I've got flight sims and the cockpits are full of mouth watering equipment. The Concorde is a fine example of squeezing the most equipment in a cockpit. GTA definitely does not want to be a flight sim but knowing how to fly helps me fly upside down through a bridge support hoop in a Hydra at full speed using exclusively the keyboard and direction keys. I usually crash soon afterwards.

TheDude5000
WHats this topic about? You couldn't possibly be yet another account created by "thamillionaire"...or maybe you are? Did anyone notice that "Captain Obvious!" account? Very similar names, and stupid spamming is also exhibited by both. Anyways, I'd say that nothing is too hard for me in SA.. Playing for a long period of time without getting soundbugs which totally mute my game, that can be hard. The trick is to pause/unpause once every few minutes. Anybody who has played GTA Rumble, would know that when you spawn, the audio is muffled. A quick pause/unpause restores the audio to it's normal state. But having to do this for extended periods of time is not fun, nor is it guaranteed to prevent bugs all the time.
Sureshot
I can happily say I am more determined than ever to complete SA. Up to 8.4% now. Next up is Paramedic and Pimp sub missions.
gta player06
The hardest thing in SA is NRG-500 chellenge. I only have beaten it using exploit. Flying school is not so hard when you learn the controls but I agree controling the plane could be better.
MrRottweiler
I had problems with the NRG-500 challange. I didn't realise the bike could reverse so high up the sides of the dry dock walls. You have to reverss this far to get the momentum for the jumps. The highest corona requires the entire length.

mark-2007
Trying to find my favourite cars is very hard (my favs are Remington, Slamvan and Bullet), the Bullet is hard to find on the road but is situated not far from the San Fierro Docks in a courtyard. The Slamvan and Remington are both impossible for me to find on the road and there are no spawn points to my knowledge, as a result of this I think I must have about 10 of each situated in my garages all over San Andreas. Hard missions are Flight School, Supply Lines (Zero's second one I think). I don't like going around gettin tags but the rewards are very nice (Desert Eagles and MP5s for GSF!). Slamvans can usually be found driving up and down the Venturas Casino strip. I found a dozen of Slamvans today! As for the Remmington, one rarely spawns in the parking lot at the train station(from the mission called"Wrong Side of The Tracks give to you by Big Smoke). But rarely it spawns. Sureshot
I had a NRG spawn in the multi storey just north of the Los Santos forum. Done some jumps with that I'm up to about 16% now. Just finished "Just Business" Damn that was hard (2nd attempt). Done the odd jobs bar Vigilante and Taxi.
