CHAPTER 1: A Horrific Day

EVENT 1: The Arrest

“Lazlow, have you ever eaten anybody?”

“Please, get off my show already, next caller,”

“Laz, times up,”

“What? Oh, well that’s it from Chatterbox 07, Lazlow, signing off.”

“Good show today, except we got to block that number!”

“Okay Laz, whatever you want.”

“Thanks,”

Lazlow walks out of the building, and goes to his brand new Kuruma, and drives home.

Lazlow arrives home, opens the door, to see the most horrific thing he’s seen in his life.

There’s blood on the walls, his whole family, wife, kids, murdered, slaughtered, with a katana sitting beside him.

He says "No, no, this can’t be happening." While getting on his knees, sobbing, in the middle of the living room. He tries to get a focus, thinking of what to do next. He stumbles over to his wife, Melissa.

“Noo!!” Lazlow cries, he falls over, almost passing out from shock, and just cries.

He hears sirens, he gets up and goes outside, checking to see if its help, stumbling, trying to get a focus.

He sees nothing, he starts walking, then running, crying for help.

A police car pulls up in front of him in the middle of the street. The cop steps out of the cruiser,

“Get on your hands and knees, NOW!”

Lazlow tries to explain that he didn’t do it.

“Your going away for a long time buddy,” says the officer while he cuffs Lazlow.”

“You gotta believe me, I didn’t kill them!” Cries Lazlow, while sobbing.

“That’s what they all say,”

“No!”

EVENT 2: The Sentence

“Listen! You have to believe me! I didn’t kill them!”

“Enough! Has the jury come to a verdict?”

“We have found the subject…”

Lazlow hopes his heart out that they believed him, that they believed that he didn’t kill his family.

“…guilty, for murder, and is sentenced for 35 years at the Ono High Security Penitentiary of Toronto.”

His heart stopped beating for a second, they didn’t believe him, and he, like it or not, is going to jail.

He started crying, while two guards hauled him off to an Enforcer.

Lazlow got in the back, and what seemed like the longest thing in his life, he appreciated, because, he wasn’t at jail yet, the fact that it was taking hours to get there.

The truck comes to a stop, and Lazlow’s heart drops, as he gets out of the Enforcer. He sees a 10 story penitentiary, and guards with rifles, and Rhinos.

The guards take him to Cell 507, on the 4th floor. He walks to his cell, to see someone’s, already there.

EVENT 3: The Cell Mate

Lazlow says, nervously, “Hi…”

Cell mate says, “Hey,”

Lazlow adds, “S-So, what’s your name?”

“Jake, Jake Vercetti.”

“Wait, what? Vercetti?

Jake says, “Yeah… why?”

“I’ve heard that name a long time ago…..”

“In Vice right?”

Lazlow replies, “Yeah how’d you know? Are you related to Tommy?

“He’s my brother,”

“Oh really, it’s a small world after all, how is Tommy?”

“Dead…”

“What?!”

“Yeah, last fall, the Forellis gained some reputation, they got big, and they hunted him for killing Sonny.”

“Oh, I’m so sorry,”

“So, why are you here?” Says Jake, trying to change the subject.

“I got framed…”

“For what?”

“Murdering my family, I got 35 years; I’m still trying to sort everything out.”

“Well, listen, we have to get out of this hell hole somehow, we have to break out, what do you say we team up together, and find out who killed your family, while I find the Forellis.”

“Sounds like a plan.”

CHAPTER 2: The Breakout

EVENT 1: The Plan

After about 1 week, Lazlow and Jake seem to have a plan. They’re going to get through an air vent, a floor above them, but, they can’t plan it all out, they have to improvise the whole way through, which makes things tough.

“Lock up, everyone, lights out.”

“Here’s our chance Laz, “

“Got it,”

Lazlow, takes off one of his bed sheets, bunches it into a ball, and puts it in front of the cell door, so the door wont close all the way.

“Do you think it will hold up?” Lazlow asks Jake.

“It’s hard to tell, I hope so,”

After 30 minutes, all the guards appeared to be gone, so Jake went over to the door, and started prying it.

Groaning, “Laz, a little help!”

“Oh, right,”

Lazlow starts pushing with Jake as hard as he can, and they eventually have it big enough to sneak through.

Jake puts his right index finger in front of his lips, ensuring Lazlow to be as quiet as possible, sneaking past all the sleeping prisoners.

They’re almost to the stairs, when they come around the corner, a guard is watching.

Event 2: The Getaway

Jake makes a 90 degree turn towards Lazlow and starts speed walking.

Lazlow whispers back, “Wait, wait! He’s asleep!”

“Is he?!”

“Yes!”

“Okay, lets go then,”

Lazlow and Jake tip toe right past the guard, and start walking up the stairs when they see a camera!

“Follow me!” Lazlow says, and they both get directly under the camera in the corner of the stair case.

“Do you thing you could boost me?” Lazlow asks of Jake.

“Sure,”

Lazlow steps on Jakes hand, while Jake strongly pushes up, and now Lazlow is directly under the camera, and cuts the two wires on the camera.

“I think we’re good,”

They both start walking again, checking the corners for cameras. Once they reach the top of the stairs, they can see the vent.

“You know, for a high security penitentiary, its not very high security.” Jake whispers to Lazlow.

“I know, lets get out of here,”

Jake gets on his tip toes, and opens up the vent.

“I’ll go first,” Jake says to Lazlow.

“Ok,”

Jake climbs up, and gets through, Lazlow closely following.

They come out through the roof of a car park.

“I wasn’t expecting this,” Jake said to Lazlow, “But its fortunate, look,”

Jake points over to the corner to reveal a Blue V8 Ghost.

“Perfect!” Lazlow cries, while they both start sprinting to the car.

“Awesome, its not locked, that makes things easier,” Jake says relieved.

“What next?”

“We have to hotwire it,”

“Ummm, ok,”

“See what you do is, you rip off the bottom here,” Jake groans while trying to take off the cover under the steering column.

“Now that we’re here, we take the blue one on the left here, and merge it with the right, like so,”

Jake touches the two wires, and the engine roars to life.

Event 3: Road Trip

“So where are we headed?” Lazlow asks Jake, as they pull out of the penitentiary’s underground parking lot.

“I have a hideout near here, and we can get clothes.”

Half an hour later, they pull up to an abandoned warehouse.

Jake gets a blue t-shirt and blue jeans, while Lazlow puts on a pair of dark khakis and a black leather jacket.

They go back outside, and get in the car.

“Where to now?” Lazlow asks Jake.

“We have to find a Pay and Spray in the area, but we don’t have any money.”

“Wait a minute, pop the trunk.” Lazlow asks of Jake.

Jake reaches over and pulls the handle.

Lazlow steps out of the car, and comes back with a suit case.

“What’s in that?!” asks Jake.

“Guards gotta get paid somehow right?” As Lazlow opens the suitcase filled with 20 dollar bills.

Event 4: The Disguise

Jake’s jaw drops.

“Lets get that paint job, and some fake I.D’s, shall we?” Lazlow says to Jake happily.”

Jake is at a loss of words, so he just puts the car in gear, and goes.

“There’s a Pay’n’Spray over there,” Jake assures Lazlow.

They both pull in, and about half an hour later, they drive out in a white V8 Ghost, with a fake license plate, the steering column fixed, and keys that fit the car.

Next they look for a place to get fake drivers license’s and fake passports.

Jake and Lazlow spot a man in an alley, pull up to him, and ask him what he is selling. Sure enough, he sells fake I.D’s and they get one for each of them.

Jake is now Thomas Brooks, and Lazlow is Simon Lennan.

EVENT 5: The Flight

“So where are we going to now?” Lazlow asks Jake. “San Andreas, I have a garage in San Fierro.”

They both decide to take a cargo plane, so they can take the car with them.

They arrive at the Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

“Hello may I help you?”

“Yes, can we both get a ticket to San Andreas on a cargo plane? We have a car we’d like to take with us.” Jake says to the woman behind the counter.

“Do you have any luggage?”

“No, just the car is all we need,”

“Okay, the flight will take off an about an hour, here are your tickets, that will cost $537,”

“Okay, here you go, thank you”

“No, thank you!”

“Okay, so we got an hour to burn, what do you want to do?” Lazlow asks Jake while turning around from the counter.

“Lets find a gift shop, and get a deck of cards.”

About 15 minutes later they take a seat and start playing blackjack for half an hour.

“We should start packing up, lets get the car around to the runway.” Jake says to Lazlow.

“Okay,”

15 minutes later, the car is on the plane, and they are on they’re way to San Andreas.

CHAPTER 3: San Andreas

EVENT 1: The Garage

“Ah, San Andreas,” Lazlow says to Jake while getting off the plane.

“Okay, we need to get to San Fierro, and get to my garage.”

So Lazlow hops in the drivers seat, and backs the car out of the plane.

“Can I drive?” Lazlow asks Jake.

“Sure,”

After about 30 minutes of driving, and Jake giving Lazlow directions, they reach a garage.

“This is a garage that some guy named Carl sold to me, he fixed it all up to make it a shop, I just use it as a kind of… headquarters.”

Jake takes Lazlow on a walking tour of the garage.

“And finally, we have the office over here,” Jake says to Lazlow, finishing the tour.

All of a sudden, they hear sirens, then “Get out of the building with your hands up!”

“No, I’m not going back to jail!” Lazlow says to Jake.

“Get in!” Lazlow yells over, and gets in the drivers seat.

Jake sprints over, opens the garage door, gets in the passenger side, and Lazlow floors it.

EVENT 2: The Chase

"Hey, wait!" Yells the police officer as the white sports car zooms past the cruiser.

The 2 officers get back in the car, and floor it, while Lazlow is headed to the highway, near the garage.

"Are they still back there?!" Lazlow screams at Jake, while dodging cars in the middle of the road.

"They're far back, but they're gaining!" Jake says, while Lazlow runs a red light, nearly hitting a blue Infernus.

"Damnit! That was too close!" Lazlow exclaims.

"But it was to our benifit!" Jake says.

The Infernus honks loudly, and stops in the middle of the intersection, and the police car ploughs into the cars front right quarterpanel, almost ripping the Infernus's engine off the car.

Lazlow turns the corner, and starts slowing down.

"What did they want?" Lazlow asked Jake.

"I don't know, maybe they followed us, but..... no, they couldnt have, they would've busted us a lot earlier."

"Well, all I know is that we're not safe in San Fierro, we need a new place."

"Go to the airport. I know where were going."
