BenMillard
Thanks for changing your mind, Aria. I think you'll find it's a lot more rewarding when you share discoveries and help with things other people are working on. That makes modding into a community, and makes all of us friends. When you release the tutorial, you could invite native English speakers to suggest corrections and improvements.

BenMillard
Works with my English GTASA 1.0: 800 x 600, 93kB. I get a lot of audio problems in v1.0, so if you could support 1.1 that would be really nice. The size for v1.1 is 8.30MB (8,708,096 bytes). When I try opening the v1.1 EXE using this size, I get an error message: It should be easy to make SATL detect the size of the opened EXE automatically. You could then apply the correct hack? BenMillard
If you click "Cancel" in the "Open" window, it seems like it opens the selected file anyway. This common window returns an error when it is cancelled, which your code should be able to check for before it tries to open the file. Does the "Size of gta_sa.exe" dropdown actually do anything? I think you could check the length of the file in your code easily, and apply the correct hack for that EXE size. That would make the program easier to use. Also, the program doesn't seem to be resizable any more? Please bring that back! Having tried this EXE again to change my train setups, the interface is really bad to use. It's nice that it works, but seriously, it needs a decent interface. Selecting an item in the treelist, then selecting the type of carriage, then selecting the next item 225 times is a big pain! It would take hours. The dropdown list doesn't update if you use the arrow keys to move around the treelist. In the "Type 4" train, "carriage 4" is listed twice and there is no "carriage 5". If you had an "Import" and "Export" system based on a simple text format (such as a Windows style INI file) people could create their train setups in a text editor. That would let them copy individual carriages and quickly paste them in multiple slots. They could even copy groups of carriages to quickly fill up trains which they wanted to have that group of carriages. They could even downloading setups people have put online. (EDIT) Here's screenshot of it working in the English GTASA v1.1: 800 x 600, 121kB. Edited August 19, 2006 by Cerbera
