My GTA fanfiction story

This is my first Grand Theft Auto fanfic story.

It will include just about everyone you know and love from GTA, as well as some other people{based on comic book characters}, and even characters I created.

I also changed some stuff, so it may not be the most accurate story, but..

------------------------------Chapter 1-----------------------------------

Date: March 1980, in New York.

The city had just started recovering from a devastating Category 5 hurricane, a horrific tornado outbreak, and a severe flood all at once which occurred only 3 1/2 months earlier, in late December 1979.

Toni Cipriani left his home in Liberty to head out towards the newly rebuilt St Mark's Bistro, to meet up with some old friends....

Toni: I hope they're ready to take customers, I'm starving my @$$ off.

{Toni enters the restaurant. He sees an old friend, and decides to chat.}

Toni: Hey Stu! What's new?

Stewart: Well, well, if it ain't my old pal Toni Cipriani. Not much, by the way. Just wanted some breakfast. You hear anything from Tommy yet?

Toni: Tommy Vercetti? Well, somebady told me he did get bailed out quite early before the storm, and was moving to Miami, but that was it.

How's it going with the others, by the way?

Stewart: They're just fine. We're based in L.A. so we weren't affected by the storm.

Toni: How did you get here?

Stewart: Flew in to visit my uncle Jimmy, who lives in Boston.

But, Sherri hit the day after I got here, so I've been stranded here for 3 months.

Toni: That must've sucked. Oh by way, did you hear that Maggia mob boss Raymond Gianniati got killed off a couple weeks ago?

Stewart: No, was it in February?

Toni: Yeah, on the 29th to be precise.

Stewart: I assume either the Leones or Forellis are gonna take control of New York now?

Toni: I'm afraid somebody's gonna corrupt this damn town.

Whoever it may be, I have no flippin' clue.

Stewart: Alright. I gotta fly back now that LaGuardia is running again.

Toni: Alright then.

Goodbye, Stu, and good luck!

Stewart: I will, thanks!

Toni: Hey, Luigi!

A stout man in his mid-40s appeared behind the counter.

Luigi: Toni! Good to see you again.

What'cha want?

Toni: Just give me a regular coffee, without the whipped cream on top.

Luigi: Okay. Coming up.

Toni: Thanks.

Luigi: Where you going?

Toni: LaGuardia International Airport.

Gonna fly to Miami for a while.

Luigi: Okay, you have a safe trip now.

Toni: I will, old pal. Thanks.

Toni: Alright, now where's my Buick?

He then spotted his blue 1964 Riviera and was soon on his way

Toni: Ah, nothing like a relaxing drive thru Broadway....

Hmm? What's this?

He noticed two guys in a white Toyota following him, but didn't really seem to care

Toni:{Thinking to himself}Oh, it's just another ordinary motorist. Nothing to worry about.

Just then, two rounds of a 9mm pistol whizzed by him, and Toni looked back with a nervous look on his face.

Toni: Ok, that is not ordinary.

Toni floored it, and after a minute or so, managed to lose the two hoodlums. He slowed back down after a couple minutes and continued his journey.

Toni: Finally made it; what the hell?

All flights delayed? Shoot!

Guess I'm gonna have to drive there......

Toni entered his Buick again and started his long 14-hour journey towards South Florida.

Meanwhile, in a desolate alley in the Bronx, two men and a woman were arguing over a botched crime.

Man #1: I thought we had him. This is all your fault, Jones!

Man #2: Don't look at me, Andrews. You're a sh*tty shot! You couldn't hit a fat gay kid from 6 inches away.

Man #1: Why you....

Woman: That's enough of the fighting.

We can deal with the Italian later.

Right now, I'm worried about a possible double agent in my organization; did you find her?

Man #1: Nope. We searched the entire metro area, from Newark to Liberty. Nothing. Not even a f***ing trace.

Man #2: I could've sworn we had her, what the f*** happened?

Woman: NO! Have my comrades search the entire East Coast.

She could be anywhere.......

------------------------------Chapter 2------------------------------------

May 26th, 1980, Vice City, FL.

Tommy Vercetti had recently been bailed out of prison and was now vacationing in Miami to get away from the stresses of big-city life.

On this particular afternoon, he was eating in Vice City {the largest and richest of its suburbs} at the Castro Cafe finishing off some pizza and a soda.

Tommy: Oh yeah, this is definitely the life.

After he paid his bill, he got into a taxi and was escorted to the Vice Hotel.

Tommy: Hey, where's my room?

Clerk: 1012. As in, 10th floor, 12th room.

Tommy: Thanks.

Tommy arrived in his room, which was very upscale and colorful, and had a large TV, two beds, and a phone.

Tommy: Damn, this is almost like my mom's place, but with better flooring!

Just then, the phone started ringing.

Tommy: Hello?

Voice: Is this Tommy Vercetti?

Tommy: Yeah. What exactly do you require from me?

Voice: I want you..............out of Vice City!!!

Tommy: Who the f*** is this?

Voice: An old acquaintance. You have 24 hours...........

Tommy: Get off the f***ing line.

Sheesh, what a crackhead.

The phone rang again a minute later.

Tommy: Who is it now?

Tommy: Hello?

Voice #2: Hi. Is this Tommy Vercetti?

Tommy: Yeah.

Voice #2: It's me, Patrick! Don't you remember me?

Tommy: Yes, I do. Been a while since we last met, though.

Voice #2: How about we meet at Vice Cafe, at 3:00?

Tommy: That would be great.

Voice #2: Wonderful! I'll see you then.

Tommy: Okay, goodbye then.

{Later, at the Vice Cafe, Tommy saw an old friend of his sitting on one of the tables.}

Tommy: Pat? Is that really you?

Patrick: Yep. Good to see you, Tom.

Tommy: So how's life?

Patrick: Okay. Only thing is, I have no home anymore.

Ever since I quit, things haven't been the same.

Tommy: I know how that feels. I was in prison for 5 years because of a manslaughter charge.

Patrick: You killed someone?

Tommy: They thought I did, but I was eventually vindicated.

Patrick: That's good. Oh, here comes our lunch.

After an hour, the waitress brought the a large Sicilian pizza, several baskets of soft pretzels, and two large Diet Cokes}

Tommy: Dang! That's a big pizza.

Patrick: Yep. Let's eat!

They ate their meals and walked towards Tommy's Cadillac after paying their bills. Patrick was immidiately captivated by the car's beautiful candy-apple red color.

Patrick: An '77 Eldorado?

How can you afford such a luxurious vehicle?

Tommy: I'm not the poor bum everyone thinks I am.

I'll have you know, I even installed new gold-plated rims on this thing last week.

They both got in and Tommy started the engine, which had a muscle-car sound to it.

Patrick: And the horsepower?

Tommy: 300. I had the emissions crap removed and I gave the engine a better carburetor.

Patrick: You had it done in California, right?

Tommy: Yep. As matter of fact, it's mandatory there now.

Patrick: I see. Let's cruise.

Tommy: Good idea.

{Tommy puts the car in gear and they start their leisurely drive thru Vice City}

Patrick: I love this town......huh?

Tommy: What is it?

Patrick: I keep noticing a black BMW that's been following us for the last 15 minutes.

Tommy: Let me see..........

Suddenly, several gunshots were heard and Tommy got a detailed look at the driver and was horrified to see who he was.

Tommy: Oh no, it's him!

I shoulda known they were tracking us!

Patrick: Floor it!

Tommy stomped the accelerator, and the car quickly got up to 100. Patrick was impressed by the car's performance.

Tommy: I'm heading towards Interstate 93. We can speed there.

More gunshots echoed thru the summer air and one of the bullets damaged the car's left mirror as the felon in the BMW continued to race after them. Tommy then arrived on the highway, the black sedan not far behind and actually starting to gain on them.

Patrick: S**t. This is probably my fault. I do have a few mortal enemies, you know.

Tommy: Don't blame yourself, my friend.

They've had it in for me ever since I blew up Paulie Sindacco's Mercedes 6 years ago.

Patrick: Who died?

Tommy: Nobody, but somebody's nephew got some horrific scars because of it.

Patrick: Was he in the car?

Tommy: He was about to get in.

I didn't know even had a nephew until then.

Yep, that's pretty much what happened.

Patrick: Was Sindacco his uncle?

Tommy: No, it was a German mobster from the Bronx.

Patrick: Come on, we gotta get away from this damn lunatic!

Tommy pressed down even harder and his car soon reached 135 mph. Even more gunshots were heard, and several of them hit a school bus in the other lane, which only the felon noticed.

Tommy: We're losing him, I think. Good thing I got the smog equipment removed.

Patrick: Oh no, he's catching up!

Tommy: Shoot. Only one chance for us to escape, then.

Tommy swerved the 4,900 lbs. Eldo, which was now doing 145 mph, onto the opposing lane. He had a couple of near misses, but then, at the last moment, he swerved back onto the right lane, almost hitting a limousine full of teens heading for a prom date. The BMW driver was just about back on Tommy's tail again, when he slammed into a commercial vehicle at 140 mph, killing both him and the other driver.

Tommy and Patrick, however, were finally out of danger, and Tommy decided to slow back down to normal highway speeds.

Tommy: Well, that was one heck of an exciting ride.

Patrick: Yeah. Sure hope the cops don't find out. But damn, I had no idea a Cadillac could go so fast.

Tommy: That's what it can do when you remove all the unnecessary emissions piping.

Patrick: Drop me off at the Pointer's Hill Inn, would ya?

Tommy: Where is it?

Patrick: Coral Gables. It's only a few dozen miles south of here.

Oh, and who exactly wants you dead?

Tommy: Long story. Anyway, I guess I better get you to your destination.

{20 min. later....}

Tommy: Glad we could see each other again.

Patrick: Same here. See ya, Tom. I'm gonna have a nice, relaxing rest.

Tommy: Farewell then.

Tommy drove back to the Vice Hotel, and when he arrived an hour and a half later, he saw a teenage girl of about 16 sitting on the porch. She had long black hair with a small silver streak and she looked very nervous and agitated.

Tommy: Hello, who are you?

Girl: Are you Mr. Vercetti?

Tommy: Yeah. Friends just call me Tommy.

Girl: I'm Victoria DiAquino.

Tommy: Hey! I've heard about you. Weren't you that kid kidnapped by that murderer Julia Cooke 6 years ago?

Girl: You knew?

Anyway, I was sent by my aunt Carrie to live with you.

She told me you were the son of a family friend.

Tommy: You mean my dad?

Girl: No, your mom.

Tommy: Oh, okay.

Well, you can stay as long as you want, I guess.

Girl: Great. Is this where you live?

Tommy: For now.

Girl: Yeah.

Tommy: Alright then. I'll settle you in ASAP.

Girl: Great!

Tommy:{Thinking} I wonder if anyone else is gonna try to blow my head off. Ah well, better get ready for tonight.

------------------------------Chapter 3------------------------------------

May 27th, 1980

Tommy woke up at 10:00 that morning and decided to have some breakfast.

After eating his meal, he went back up to his room, sat down on the couch and started watching the morning news.

Reporter: And in other news, local police in Vice City are still trying to comprehend the possible reasons for what has been called the fastest non-police chase in 3 years. Many residents have described the two cars as a red Cadillac and a black BMW, the latter of which its driver lost all control and hit this industrial supplies delivery truck, killing both of them.

Speeds have been estimated as high as 150 mph.

Back to you, Jim.

Reporter #2: Thanks, Maria. In other news...............

Vicki: You were involved in that?

Tommy: Unfortunately, yes.

Vicki: Wow, that's incredible.

Tommy: I know.

Vicki: You seem to be the kind of guy that loves action.

Tommy: True. But then I don't understand why you would like it.

You're a girl, for crying out loud.

Vicki: I know. But I'm not like other girls.

Tommy: Yeah, I knew that already.

Vicki: You gonna get us lunch?

Tommy: In a while.

Suddenly, the phone rang.

Tommy: Yes? Hello?

Voice: Tommy?

Tommy: Who is this?

Voice: Carter, Frank Carter.

Tommy: Oh, hey Frank.

Haven't seen you in a while, pal. How's everything?

Voice: Crappy, Tommy, just crappy. Over half of New York is in total ruins, and I haven't heard from my best pal in over 4 months!

I require companionship.

Tommy: Come over here to Florida, it's a lot better here.

And those Cuban chicks are hot...........

Voice: But, seriously, I gotta go.

Tommy: You have a good day now.

Voice: You too, {gulp}I hope.

Tommy put down the phone, drunk some soda, and turned on the weather channel network.

Weatherman: As Hurricane Delta continues its north-westerly trek thru the Caribbean, it is expected to hit our area by noon tomorrow. Expect 112 mph winds and possibly some tornadoes as well.

Vicki: Wow. Oh, did you know John Lennon just came out with a new album?

Tommy: No.

Vicki: It has Let It Be, Across The Universe, Something, and even The Long and Winding Road!

MY favorites!

Tommy: Yep. I liked those too.

Tommy then decided to walk out the door.

Vicki: Where are you going?

Tommy: Gonna put my car in a parking garage uptown.

Vicki: Because of the storm?

Tommy: Yeah.

Look, I gotta go. I'll meet you back for dinner.

Vicki: Okay.

For the next 4 hours, Vicki did nothing but watch TV, until.....

{Gunfire}

Vicki: What the..................?

Suddenly, a whole bevy of gunshots were heard and then, a massive explosion.

Vicki: {Screams}

She ran the phone, and dialed 911.

Operator: Hello, what's your emergency?

Vicki: There's been a horrific explosion at the Vice Hotel!

Hurry!!!!

Operator: Ok, ma'am, calm down. Fire rescue and a couple ambulances are on their way.

Vicki: Thank you.

She then dialled Tommy's number.

Vicki: Tommy!!!!!

Tommy: Hey, are you alright?

Vicki: Yes, but somebody blew up the first floor! Please, hurry!

Tommy: Holy crap!

Don't worry, I'll be there in one minute.

Taxi!!!!

Cabby: Where can I take ya'll?

Tommy: Vice Hotel, pronto.

Cabby: Right on, good buddy.

{10 min. later}

Tommy: Thanks.

Cabby: You need me again, my number is 16.

Tommy: Thanks a lot!

Officer: Who are you?

Tommy: My friend's on the 12th floor. I gotta get to her pronto!

Officer: Alright. Man comin' thru!

Tommy: Have a good day.

Officer: You, too.

Tommy: Vicki!!!!!!

Vicki: Tommy?

Tommy: Thank God you're okay.

Vicki: Tommy?

Tommy: Yeah.......?

Vicki: I need to tell you a story.

Tommy: Go ahead.

Vicki then started telling her life story. While she was talking, Tommy barely noticed a navy blue Mercedes speeding away from the crime scene. But he then turned away, contently listening to her story.....

He had no idea about the dark times that were ahead of them...

Here's Chapter 3.

----------------------------Chapter 3------------------------------------

May 28, 1980

Tommy and Vicki both woke up at 9:00 that morning to discover that the hurricane was only hours away.

Tommy realized they were in for a nasty bout of weather.

So, they boarded up the windows, but they kept the TV on for further news updates.

Vicki revealed that she had an Atari 2600 and a dozen different games, so they decided to play for a while.

They a had a bit of fun, but eventually, the storm got worse, and then, at 2:30...

Reporter: Please advise: a tornado warning has been issued for Gonzales County. All remaining residents of Vice City, Ft. Lauderdale, West Miami Beach, downtown Miami, and Port Preston are advised to seek shelter immediately, as this tornado does have the potential to cause massive destruction over the next hour.

It is currently moving to the northwest at 20 mph.

Vicki: At least it's not going for us, but I feel sorry for those who it is.

Tommy: You know, something like this happened in my home state of Maryland back in '66.

Vicki: Really???

Tommy: Yep. By the way, you really from Mississippi like your driver's license says?

Vicki: Nope. I'm really from Florida, this state.

Tommy: I was just saying, 'An Hispanic chick in a predominantly African-American state?'.

Vicki: Italian. I'm Italian.

Tommy: So am I, kid. So am I.

After an hour, they no longer heard the tornado, although the hurricane's winds still howled for a while and the rain was EXTREMELY heavy.

They resumed playing their games, and then at 12:30 they decided to retire for the night.

Tommy: I'm gettin' tired.

{Pops a sleeping pill}

Vicki: So am I.

{Copies Tommy}

Good night, then.

Tommy: Same to you.

They both fell asleep without trouble, despite the fact the storm continued well into the morning.

Date: May 29, 1980

Vicki forced herself out of bed at 8:15 that morning to find herself some breakfast.

She went down to the hotel lobby while Tommy was still snoozing, and decided to wake him afterwards.

She knocked on the door, and Tommy came out

Tommy: What?

Vicki: Breakfast. Eggs, bacon and toast.

With coffee.

Tommy: Thanks.

Ya got anymore of that??

Vicki: Nope.

But I can get you a Diet Coke.

Tommy: Thanks..

Vicki: You're welcome. Let me get it now.

Tommy: Alright.

{3 min. later}

Vicki: Here's your soda.

Tommy: Thanks.

I'm gonna go outside for a while.

Vicki: Okay, goodbye.

Tommy looked outside and saw the damage was worse than he thought.

And then he heard many windows breaking and thousands of gunshots.

He knew this was going to be a rough time.............

All right....................Chapter 5

--------------------------------Chapter 5----------------------------------

May 29, 1980

Tommy lurched outside the hotel and slowly began to walk towards an old Checker taxi.

He decided to get in, and then he realized he had seen the cabbie before.

Cabbie: Remember me?

Tommy: Yeah, I think so.

Cabbie: Name's Campbell. Franklin Campbell.

Tommy: Okay.

Hey, can you take me to the Vale Shores parking garage?

Cabbie: Sure thing.

When Tommy arrived, he discovered that most of the cars were either destroyed by the storm, stolen by car thieves or ransacked by gang members.

Cabbie: You alright?

Tommy: Yeah. Thanks!

Cabbie: You're welcome{speeds off}

Tommy: Hopefully, my car's still running.

But luckily for him, his Caddy was still in excellent condition.

Just then, a couple of Afro-American gangsters, two Cajuns and one Haitian, approached him. They all had guns and looked like they might use them.

Cajun #1: Step away from tha auto, foo'.

Cajun #2: Give us yo' cash, too.

Haitian: Step aside.

You are Tommy Vercetti?

Tommy: Yeah, why?

Haitian: GET 'IM, BOYS!!!

Cajuns: Eat metal, cracka!

They fired on him.

He ducked behind a white Dodge van and started looking for a weapon.

He then found an AK-47 and started to return fire for the next 3 minutes.

All three of the crooks stopped firing when the Haitian got grazed in the cheek by one of Tommy's bullets.

The Haitian took off on his motorbike while the Cajuns decided to steal an old Plymouth nearby.

Tommy fired some more, and hit the bike's gas tank, blowing it up and scarring the Haitian.

Tommy ducked as its parts flew thru the warm air and hit various things, from a store window to a traffic light.

But then, he spotted someone, and the mysterious man started talking to him.

Guy: Come with me, Tommy.

Bring your car, too.

Tommy: Okay.

Where are we going?

Guy: Follow me.

{10 min. later}

Tommy: Who are you?

Guy: I'm....................your old buddy from high school.

Tommy: Toni!?

-----------------------------Chapter 6-------------------------------------

May 29, 1980

Tommy looked at the guy next to him.

He was Toni Cipriani, his old buddy from middle and high school.

Toni looked around for a couple of seconds and then faced Tommy again.

Tommy: Where are we again?

Toni: The old Toyota dealership.

Tommy: Ok. Hey, how come you never showed up for the Christmas party????

Toni: Got stuck in the hurricane zone the day after I got there.

Tommy: You mean, what used to be New York?

Toni: Yep.

Tommy: I got out of prison back in July, and I've been living here for a while.

Toni: I see.

I'm just here to visit my cousin.

Tommy: Really?

Toni: Yep. She's rich, too.

Tommy: Dang!!!!

Toni: Got any relatives you're hanging out with?

Tommy: No. Although I am taking care of a family friend for a while.

Toni: Why is that?

I never knew about that until now.

Tommy: Her aunt's been having drug problems, so I told her I would take care of her at least until she's 18.

Toni: She's a minor???

Tommy: Yes, she is.

Toni: I see.

You guys okay? I heard you guys got hit by the hurricane last night.

Tommy: We did.

But we're alright, although I can see tornado damage all the way from here.

Toni: Tornado?

Tommy: Uh-huh. F-4, to be exact.

Toni: Damn!!!

Tommy: Yep. Death toll's about 40, as a matter of fact.

Toni: S**t. Back in Maryland, we had tornadoes, but nothing that bad.

Tommy: You think this was bad, you should've seen the F-6 that stomped thru L.A. 2 1/2 years ago.

Toni: Same thing happened with Hurricane Sherri back in December.

They're now saying it's the worst tornado to have ever hit the U.S. for over 50 years, and they're still counting bodies.

Tommy: What's the deathtoll now?

Toni: Over 1,000.

Tommy: I hope nobody I know was in there.

Toni: I doubt it.

Tommy: I hope you're right..........

Hey, what's with the van?

Tommy pointed to the Dodge Toni was standing next to.

Toni: I've only had it for 3 months.

I use it to carry my weapons and tow my Riviera around when I ain't driving it.

Tommy: Isn't it illegal to carry those AK-47s, MP5s, and Desert Eagles around?

Toni: Nope. I have an advanced gun license.

And besides, I only use 'em when I need to.

Tommy: I see what you're saying.

{Echoing gunshots}

Toni: Oh, s**t.

We may need those soon.

Tommy: Hoo, boy. Today's gonna be a long day..................

Meanwhile................

May 30, 1980-Liberty City, NY 2:30 a.m.

Man #1: I've 'ad it with these t**ts!

Man #2: I wanna rip their dicks off their bodies and cook 'em right in fronta their faces!

Man #3: Someone should call al-Qaeda.............

Man #4: Alright, alright, shut up already!!!!

This is not a kids' playhouse, for Pete's sakes!

{Door opens}

Woman: Sir, we've found a spy.

Man #5: Yes, we found 'im snoopin' around the joint.

Hostage: I was just looking for the bathroom, I swear!

Man #4: Get this piece of s**t outta here.

Woman: Yes, sir.

{Boot!}

Man #4: We have more important things to worry about than insignificant losers.

Who were these people?

Were they evil or what?

Stay tuned.............................

There was no chapter 6, you went straight from 5 to 7. Also, you know that New York doesn't exist in GTA? All I can say is I didn't really like it. The structure is poor, how you have some one speaking

and then they continue on a whole other line.

Doesn't that get annoying?

In any case, improve upon that, some grammar/spelling.

@gta_player5: Yeah.

Thanks for pointing out the numbering error, I will fix that ASAP.

And the grammar?

Just wanted to make the story's characters sound authentic.

--------------------------Chapter 7------------------------------

May 30th, 1980

Tommy was right in the middle of an intense gunfight.

He had just met his old pal, Toni Cipriani, and now, they were fighting for their lives against almost 20 Haitian and Cajun gangsters.

Tommy: Take this, you bastards!

{Multiple gunshots}

Yeah, you!

{cocking sound}

Aw shoot, outta ammo.

Toni?

Toni: Yeah?

Tommy: I need more ammo.

Toni: Okay then.

Toni handed him an AK-47.

Tommy: Thanks.

Come on! You want more?!?

Toni: That's right! You better run!

One of the gangsters was then hit by a speeding cop car as he fled.

Toni: Damn, that musta smarted.

Tommy: Come on. We're running dry over here.

Toni handed him another AK-47.

Tommy: Great!

The fighting continued for another 3 hours.

Tommy had managed to kill off about 5 of the hoodlums before the rest piled in a nearby Ford pickup and took off.

Tommy: Finally. I sure hope I don't get busted.

Toni: Nah. It was justifiable, anyway.

Tommy: Where's my car?

Toni: You mean that cherry red '77 Cadillac?

Tommy: Yeah.

Toni: It's over there.

Tommy: Not much damage, thank God. You coming, Toni?

Toni: Nah. I got my own ride.

Tommy: Later, then.

Toni: Farewell for now.

He sped off, leaving Toni in the dust.

Tommy: 2:00 a.m.?

I'd better get back to the hotel.

Arriving 15 minutes later, Tommy ran up to his room to discover that Vicki was tied up in the closet with duct tape and hemp ropes.

Vicki: Finally, you're here!

Tommy: What happened?

Vicki:I'll tell you tomorrow.

Tommy: Alright.{yawns}, Let's get some sleep, I'm tired.

Vicki: So am I.
