they in fact, are necessary, you can't just take them away.

PS: I think we should keep using V6... sounds aren't that important.

PS2: If Nathan is ok with this, i think we should release the beta after i got the interior of Toni's house ingame and the underconstruction Hpburn Heights, and maybe some crappy debug main.scm, at least for the first beta.

Then we'll make regular updates.

I am okay with that but I was hoping that we could also finish up two other easy map objects before the release like the Ferry Strike banners you see at Portland Docks "SAVE THE FERRYS" and the "NO TUNNELS". Also finish up the FIOL supermarket which should be very easy.

 

So we should release it after the following is done:

- Paulie's Revue Bar

- Hepburn Heights Underconstrucion

- Fiol

- Ferry Strike Banners

- Toni Player Model

- Toni Safehouse Interior

- Delete GTA3 missions from v6 MAIN.SCM

So, how do you work? Do you imitate the buildings and use parts of screens for textures or do you export files from the PSP/PS2 disc? Probably the first or another way, since nobody as of yet cracked the files.

teun.steenbekkers: Well TripleAs he gets pictures from me since I give him pics of LCS map objects from all different angles he creates them from scratch in Zmodeler. Also for the Textures he sometimes gets them from my pictures if they look good on the pics to cut out if not he creates the textures from scratch like the naked lady lines on Paulie's Revue Bar he created from scratch because I couldn't get a good pictuere of it.

 

 

Sinful: Well first what we are gonna try to do is get all of the map objects in LC so that it is Liberty City 1998 then we are gonna do the pedestrians, Vehicles, and Interiors, then we are gonna do the missions.

Well, there isn't much you can do with the lcs main, unless you are a "pretty good" coder.

In fact, i've got the lcs main decompiled from the psp version in txt format, and... it's a complete mess, i can send it to you if you want, just pm me.

BTW, just to let everyone know that Paulie's Revue Bar is ingame smile.gif

Ok, I wanted to try and change the radar map, but the map from LCS and tht map from gta3 don't fit each other exatcly...

By the way, I really don't think you should change the taxi texture (and also other vehicles') to the one from LCS - the one from LCS is CRAPPY, because LCS is made for PSP, which, of course, can't process the high-res textures a PC can. Furthermore, I have a suggestion: we should retexture the cars we may pull out of LCS, to make them look better, normal LC quality.

mmm... yeah, but, we'll add those for the first or second update, since it's the hardest part, we need a plan, i need free TIME, and Nathan will be taking the pics and making the plan, and that's NOT easy.

We can't take things out of LCS, it's not possible, why do you ppl just don't get it?

I'm making stuff from scratch, Nathan is taking pics from the psp for reference which make things easier, but the point is, everything you see in here, is either cut up from pícs (like the billboards Nathan made)

OR made by scratch by ME in Zmodeler 1.7b, Zmodeler 2.0.4 (build 702) and Wings3D 0.98.32a (especially this one), and for textures i use Photoshop CS (since CS2 is sh*t).

Are you all *happy* now?

Oh!... also, Nach_Scratch edited some cars (don't know what prog he used, probably Photoshop CS or Paint Shop Pro)

That's it... i'm tired of writing.

Damn, i forgot, some other ppl helped aswell:

Dingleman with water texture and Big Shot Casino

Creative_Madman with the player model rigging which is most likely not going to be in the first beta (i hope Gunman (friend of mine) helps me with this)

and Ova who is a motherf*cker, but i still like him and also helped me with textures because he/we was/were bored/dind't have anything better to do.

T808 who helped me with some guns, that %99 sure will be in the beta.

and... probably some other ppl i forgot about who can kill me if they ever see me, they've got my permission. (Yeah, Jorge, i'm talking bout you...too.. and Rubde which should be some unofficial beta tester)

and please... LCS FILES (map parts, cars, weapon, sh*t like that)ARE NOT LIKELY TO BE OPENEABLE IN THE NEAR FUTURE UNLESS SOME WEIRD DWARVES OPEN THE FILES AND DECIDE TO SHARE IT WITH THE COMMUNITY (sp?)

I know... i meant the ppl in this forum in general, not just you.

The GTA:LC taxi looked good...for GTA:LC, i mean, it would be completely pointless to let it that way or change the textures to high res ones, because this is meant to be a GTA:LCS mod, not GTA:LCS high res sigh.gif

 

About the Photoshop CS thingy, well, CS2 just takes too much time to load than CS, and it's not worth it. I don't know what do you mean about the shortcuts, they work fine in CS :s.

Now just before we release a beta for this mod we are gonna finish the following:

 

- Improve PCJ-600 model

- Leone Casino

- Fiol

- Toni Player model

- Delete Missions from MAIN.SCM

- Portland Safehouse Interior

 

EDIT: I also edited the first post so that you all can see what exactly we got done and so you can see the pictures alot better than how small they were before.

A) Don't affect gameplay

B) Are boring to do.

Well, since it's a lcs mod, GTA3 missions aren't supposed to be there.

About the install thing, well, it's just copy and paste, i don't think we are going to need an installer.

No were not gonna leave the GTA3 missions, we are just gonna delete the missions so that when you start the game it is free roam just until we get the map changes and vehicles and Peds from LCS ingame then we are gonna start doing missions.

 

As for the Beta it will be 3 folders mainly a DATA, MODELS, and TEXT folders and all you will have to do to install it is have the GTA:LC Beta 2 v6 installed into you VC folder and then from there you just Drag and Drop and start playing.

Well we asked XRK to help us out with the Prelighting but it might take awhile because he said that he needs to study the lighting that R* originally used.
