jarjar
Since we have some many tutorials, yet no way to find them without searching hard for them, I decided we needed a tutorial archive. It works similar to the Modding Sections Tutorial Archive. All tutorials are listed, rated and linked to in categories. In-order for me to add your tutorial to the list please insure that when posting new tutorials you use the prefix [TUT] at the start of the topics title, this helps for your tutorial to be added a lot faster. Tutorials will not be added if they are not your tutorial, ie. taking a tutorial from another site that someone else has written. This is not only braking copyright but also braking the rules here at GTAForums and is a bannable offense. Also, some tutorials have not been added because of these reasons, and because some are missing. Also, if you have questions about a particular tutorial please do not post in the tutorial topic unless they are new, bumping topics that are months old is against the rules also. If you have a questions, PM the author or if the authors banned or not available to talk then post a help topic in the main GFX Tutorials and Requests Section. Apart from that please have fun making tutorial, and i hope this archive helps newbies as well as pro GFXers find what they need...fast. Thank you to all Tutorial creators who have put there time into these great bunch of tutorials. Enjoy. Great job jarjar Thanks, yeah, it would very usfull pinned . Thanks, i just hope it comes in handy . jarjar, you cease to amaze me. Great idea, and glad you took the time to rate each TUT as well. Great work. Thanks man. Yeah, well i thought rating them and outlining who the author was, what program is covered the stuff like that would just make it a bit easier to understand, plus people can find what they want depending on what programs that have. EDIT: Also thank you to saintdave my consultant for helping me work out a few errors . gta_player5
Very nice job Jared. jarjar
Very nice job Jared. Just by looking at this I can see that you've put a lot of work into this, it looks good, the tables look good, and I like the rating system. /rated good Thanks gta_player, appreciate your comments. The rating system as originally going to be done through karma stars (1 karma star = poor, 5 = excellent, etc.) but your only allowed 10 images in a post, so it wasn't possible. Thanks to everyone for there support, i only hope this is seen as a useful resource and hopefully pinned to insure it is used. Thanks for the support guys EDIT: Also, i just noticed the topic is near getting a star, please, if you like the idea rate the topic good, same if you find it useful. This may help us get it pinned . Justin
Tables are pretty, centred text not so, and ratings are silly as it's all subjective. Not sure if it'll get pinned, the concept has been tried many a time to no avail (pinnage and activity wise). Nice graphics and table-layout, though. jarjar, you cease to amaze me. I believe you mean "never cease to amaze me". Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/250759-gfx-tutorial-archive/#findComment-3789282 Share on other sites

I believe you mean "never cease to amaze me". Thanks, i think . The only centered text is that of the Catagory Title and the line below it. Is that a problem? I disagree with the ratings being a bad idea, it's not done on what i think, it's on what people in the topic say, and the topics overall topic rating. Thanks for your comments on the graphics and table-layout though, appricate your input . Justin
The only centered text is that of the Catagory Title and the line below it. Is that a problem? Actually, the entire introduction is centred... But no, not really a problem. Although, the tables are the sex. The sex. Default left-aligned text (for the intro) would complement them a lot better. It'd look more professional, too. No biggie, though. I disagree with the ratings being a bad idea, it's not done on what i think, it's on what people in the topic say, and the topics overall topic rating. Fair call. I'm still a fan of 'let the individual make up his/her own mind' approach to such guides, though. As it's an archive, I'd prefer it to be completely objective rather than slightly subjective (although your point on it being a reflection of user comments is dragging it away from the subjective classification). ATK
Nice topic, but like fuzzy said, it has been done, and pretty much just failed. And you really should have left out ratings, even if you are going by what people in the topic say. Some beginner GFXers could find the tut extremely usefull, then a vetran GFXer would think it is usless and uncessarry. ( good example in Stremers Pimping/Jazzing up a car) Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/250759-gfx-tutorial-archive/#findComment-3790250 Share on other sites

It's usefull and i'm sure people will find it usefull. If it's not pinned then it just will get draged down behind all the other requests we get. Which won't be good. So, if it gets pinned, then mabye it will take off, if not then i will be very disappointed. Going back to Clowns GTAF GFX Yellow pages, that was extremely organized and around for months, without being pinned. The only thing different with yours is a tad bit more orginization and a few moro tuts added. not to bust your balls or anything. Made-Man
I saw a GFX Tutorial Archive a while back made by Clown. - which didn't turn out a success - and I doubt this will, either.. Good job though, jarjar. Well thanks for having belief in me mate . It's not a case of "having belief in you," in fact I could "believe" that you keep this topic at the top of your priorities - I've seen topics like these in the past die out, and that's what it comes down to; all topics die unless they get pinned. And the other GFX Tutorial Archives didn't, hence why they now serve no use. The only way I see this being of use is if a member of staff pins this topic - and you're just going to hope that somebody does, unless you want this topic to die out just like previous similar topics. As I say though, it looks like you've dug up some good tutorials from here. Hope you get some sort of retribution out of this. Yeah, that happened when i fixed the centering problem for Fuzzy, not sure why it's doing that, i'll see if i can fix it. You guys areent understanding the point. What makes this topic any better than the other ones in that it will get pinned? Accurly, i think your missing the point, we're not saying it's better or worse then other ones, what we're saying is if it was to be pinned unlike the rest, then mabye it would take off and accurly be useful. You know what i mean? Sadly it's to late for the other ones (ones? I only saw one ) because bumping them would be against the rules, then again if they we're pinned, oh i don't know, either way, i dought that their creators would be interested in keeping it up to date anymore. We're as i have only just made one, so i would be more than glad to keep it up to date, and i will, no matter what. But you are speking in the terms that it will definately get pinned. Ofcourse if it gets pinned it will stay, but why would it get pinned, and the last one didnt? They are pretty much both the same. And actually there is no rule to not bump the topic. Clown bumped his topic after like 5 months in an attempt to get it pinned, because its useful. I myself do think that it should be pinned, and I dont know why the mods havent doe it in the past, these kinds of topics would be vbery useful here.
