GTA3Freak-2001
Oh so your the one who nicked the petrol cap Jay? I am not joking actually, someone did nick the petrol cap thankfully they didn't take any fuel. Knowing my brother though he probably left it at some random petrol station
CraftLandia
Jesus, a MK1 Golf for $3000? Â For that sort of money I would've recomended a VN - VP or VS Commodore (Don't bother with a VR, they had the worst motor of the lot). Good power, good economy, lots of room for carrying tools and such and it won't cost you the earth to fix, should something go wrong. They are also comfortable and very easy to drive and control. Â Not to mention a Golf will be hard to sell in the future and it will not hold its re-sale value as well as many other cars.

It cost 1,200 though, its just cost extra to get it legal and mechanically sound. I do agree that it should of cost $800 with the work needed but sh*t happens. Â Sure we could of got a Commodore but really he's a first time driver and he needed something economical and small. Sure a VN or VP as you say is economical but not when compared to something like a Golf. We also wanted to stay away from the whole hoon thing which he's likely to become with a powerful sedan compared to a Golf which is zippy but not overly powerful.
