I'd post a poll if I were allowed, but basically my question is, which game (in your opinion) has the best music, and why?

  • Grand Theft Auto 3
  • Grand Theft Auto Vice City
  • Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

In my opinion, Vice City is first with San Andreas in close second. rahkstar2.gif

Vice City had the best music. GTA3 had the best talkshow -> Chatterbox. San Andreas didn't take full advantage of the time period the game was set in. Could have had better songs.

If we were to talk about other games too.. I've always loved the music that comes along with the Hitman series. Every game seems to have pretty awesome ambient/stealth type music.

Vice City had the best soundtrack. The music in San Andreas wasn't that good, the only radio stations I liked are SF-UR and Master Sounds.

Vice City. VRock is the best station in any of the games.

Vice City, for this alone. GTA3 is probably second to me, even with the lesser known (but still quality) artists.

San Andreas...I can think of so many more songs that remind me of the early 90's. They had some great artists in there, but not even the best songs from those artists. I don't know, it just didn't 'do' it for me.

Wildstyle and Fever 105, my man.

Damn straight, these are the best stations ever!

The 80s rock!

I was a bit surprised (with the average age of the users here at GTAF) that VC was still unanimous (19-0-0) at the time of my voting though.

I think Vice had the most balanced music selection - there's something in there for everybody, or at least the majority of the game's audience. GTA3 comes in second if only for the fact that it holds great memories - and I think they had the best DJs. San Andreas I found pretty boring, none of the stations grabbed my attention at all. Hell I listened to K-DST most of the time and I'm not even a classic rock fan.

V-Rock owned everything.

It was one of the few things that actually had me playing Vice City.

No dough this post will get questions and and maybe even some fighting.

Vice City > GTA3> San Andreas.

Vice City dominated because it had VRock and other stations which had good songs on it, plus average talk shows. GTA3 had Chatterbox and Doubleclef, but SA had nothing but crap.

VC>SA>3.

Vice City had "The Message", that declares it the victor.

San Andreas had the likes of Slick Rick, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Dr.Dre, Ice Cube, Tupac, Rakim and much more.

3 justg had some stupid ass songs.

San Andreas had some better songs but overall Vice City had a better soundtrack and was more reflective of it's time. Chatterbox was the best talk chat, with Vice City's being a close second. In San Andreas I never played with the radio on, I just used MP3s.

Vice City hands down. You got that 80's feeling of the game. I listened to all of the radio stations, all of them were great.

Eh, in my opinion, The Message wasn't the top of Wildstyle. If anything, its all about Hashim - Al-Naafiysh. I'd kill to play VC right now sad.gif.

Oh, yeah, Game Radio was all nice. I mean, other than K-Jah and Game, GTA3 had worthless music. But sh*t, Sean Price, Royce Da 5'9, Inspectah Deck, that made Game Radio worth it.

I gotta go with GTA3. Game Radio was the motherf*ckin sh*t back then. K-Jah too.

Vice and San Andreas had some great soundtracks too though.

Every station on VC was great, I listened to Espantoso the least though. I love all the music on there, I'm not picky about which station to listen to, but I probably like VRock and Flash the most.

I never bothered venturing off into other stations besides the hip hop ones so for that reason, I voted for San Andreas. But Vice City probably had the most balanced soundtrack. And GTA3 by far holds the most memories. I still say stuff from Game radio. Chatterbox was pretty funny.

GTA3 has the best memories and atmosphere in regards to music for me, tipping Vice to the pip, but when it comes to the the actual quality of the music, Vice wins. smile.gif
