Btw, if you send a DB invite to the latest version of the map then i can make some sco coded missions for Criminal Russia. smile.gif

Just wanted to ask, Criminal Russia for IV is a map replacing LC right? The small maps that are being done right now are previews?

 

But if your mission is for the preview maps is there anyway you can make it compatible with saves by adding it into the normal script.img? Just asking because LC is still there.

Liberty City will exist until it is ready to mainland project.

New!

 

Very polygonal model of city power substation. Reliability of specification of electric equipment of 80%. On a legend to the city will be the high voltage line line from the continent which feeds it with energy comes. Substation and the equipment are calculated on transformation of tension of 110 kV/10kV (Russian Standard).

 

In addition small advances in area construction. Still will be a dispatching office on stations, a fence and decorative elements of yards + props obj.

I plan to collect in game by Monday.

The buildings are perfect and they are looking real good! The only thing that bothers me is the flat grass almost everywhere :\ Is it like that in real life or not?

Grass is a problem in GTA4. You can use procedural materials on Collisions to spawn 3d grass on short distance. But dense grass rendered in a distance, very hard.

Something I hope GTA V will fix, and probably most definitely will. I'm sure GTA V will be able to generate it like SA, but and not have the issue of grass "hanging" off of steep hills.

 

GTA SA in a way is better at rendering a lot 3D grass (though it may not look as good by default) however on IV you don't have to have 3D grass when you use the grass material. In GTA SA, an area that is supposed to look well maintained would have tall grass growing. (Maybe I'm wrong.)

Not only that, but shadows also got a weak distance of rendering. Least we know V elaborated on this area

UPDATE: How about using normal models for grass? Use object scatter tool in 3ds max and scatter the grass planes across the surface, that way you have larger distance of your grass. (seperate model for grass and gta_tree shader is advised)

To fix the grass problems, simply make some low-poly 3d grass wdr models and place them on the ground. Don't use too many or it will lag the game.

Also there is no transparent glue-dirt or weathering, that missing detail is the only thing stopping it from looking perfect imho.

 

I'm going to start planning some missions soon for this mod, if anyone has ideas that they would like in this mod then go ahead and say them.

unrealistic. everything is so clean and smooth roads, nothing like real russia. make road bumpy and covered with holes and edit textures. Idea is good, this is only global mod based on gta4 I'm interested in. I wish I could help to develope it, but don't have time for a moment.

Starting make subway.

 

Metro will be implemented as well as in the original GTA IV, MLO interiors. Will consist of all of the segments of the tunnels 50 meters (each 15k polygons) portal of the tunnel, and the interior of the station lobby.

The first - the main, it is the most part of city park (small there will be on a lateral small lot, an entrance via the tunnel under the road, there will be a location "a love garden" from the GTA SA version.

 

The main part of park consists of three zones.

1) Actually platform, recreation areas etc

2) Place for shashlychnitsa and little tables

3) natural part of park, with a dry flood plain of a stream (3 ravines) and an entrance to an underground drainage network of the city.
