GTA SA sucks hard with such lightning, you will get a kinda low quality lightning or... a uber yellow room and the shadows wont be there, they will just do 2 things make the shaded part uber dark without definition or simply wont appear, you will need to make a shadow map, GTA IV even continues using Shadow map

1) modes are not planned for GTA IV, and there will not be converted.

2) Write please normal scripts to work with models of GTA IV in 3dsmax, I have to you no questions will be.

3) The fact that the renderer can easily be done in GTA SA, alpha shadows, lighting through Radiosity, + a bit of work in RW Anylize.

vans this is the best map ive ever seen for GTA SA

i think it depends of experience not if GTA SA can handle it

Now, this is going to sound stupid - but I have started building a last mountain. It roughly estimates to be slightly higher than Mount Chiliad, include caves, underpasses, abandoned cabins, ski resort (with no skis), camping sites and all other studd you can only thinks of.

 

Just to give you a rough idea of how big it is going to be here is a small screenshot comparing it to my second mountain, video of which I posted earlier:

Please note that this is only a base, it is going to have a cake-like structure eventually and be higher.

Alexey , must agree on the size of the last mountain, then to not cause problems when building maps.

render it down on a blue square, as you did earlier with 1 Mt.

I think that how it looks like on a top-down view, zoom seems to be OK. Seems larger than Chiliad, which wasn't planned, but we'll see what we can do. Maybe put it on the shore, so it sticks out of the coastline. Вот так как-то сверху вниз, вроде не напутал с масштабом. Вышло больше, чем Чилиад, но уверен, что что-нибудь придумаем. На худой конец, можно поставить на берегу, чтоб в море выходила.

No Alexey, I think enough 2 mountains on the map, this is too big + its place is nowhere, TC rest of the territory covered by forests / agricultural land and fields.

 

PS - this is not the current radar mode, and mixed work plan modeling + renders the current work (south of map) + old items a radar from December 1, 2009

In a mod, and so there are 4 major cities why do more tembolee one huge. As psychologists say - tired of city people with their "square" shapes and angles - well, Th they good? Concrete and asphalt.

And we have to mod the ratio of rural / city, about the same as in the original game.

We mod valued more nature and its beauty, the TC makes a person calm.

 

We currently ready 4 cities:

South - 100%

Arzamas - 80%

Lytkarino - 80%

Nizhegorodsk - 20%

 

In addition there are 2 entirely made of the village, 1 pgt.

Another village in the development, under it there is only a small part of the landscape and objects.

 

In fact, done a lot of models, and could bu in the coming months schaversh*t card - but we do not have enough manpower in the game itself, I gather the whole map one to me only attracts models and selected locations.

That render maps today, made by MED.

That's all there in my game. BUT! done much more, and a large part of developments to be with my fellow developers, and if they send me, the volume of the finished surface of the card to rise in times!

 

Just once I want a good assistant / receiver to help collect a card from the huge number of models made today that were not as Aby, a well made and well thought out map.

MIXAZZ; Can you help me in something, sorry for making it in your post, but what Map editor you use to place your stuff? or which method?, is couse MeD is not loading my map anymore, but this time is kinda rare, see, when MeD doesnt open anymore a map it just crash, but in mine, it gets to 99% and puff! it gets closed, my GTA3.IMG is barely 1 GB and all my mod files are inside a custom .IMG, i use shadow mesh, so thats making it crash?

 

its rare, couse before was working i just add a new mesh with shadowmesh and is crashes now, any help please?

i think you can help me since you know maybe more than me in modding, Please!

Well generally all work on the location of game objects are made in 3dsmax, as all models that make the members of our team.

 

MED I load only occasionally to check before starting the game placement of objects.

 

In this case, when I render the map, I used not the MED, and MapEditor v0.1, because as in your case, MED crashes when trying to load the entire map, and MapEditor v0.1 calm her loads, the main one by one and sequentially connect the IPL files for viewing on the block.

 

Otherwise, if you select all at once you'll be a long wait. I have the fully loaded map MapEditor v0.1 consumed 1.4 GB RAM and 2.4 GB of virtual memory system.

Damn, though so. Anyway, I will continue working on the mountain - it will end up in LMDR probably or may be you can cut the bottom off and it be smaller then. Áëèí, òàê è äóìàë. Íè÷åãî, âñ¸ ðàâíî å¸ äîäåëàþ, ïîéä¸ò â ËÌÄÐ . Èëè ìîæíî áóäåò íèç îòðåçàòü, òîãäà îíà ìåíüøå ñòàíåò.
