duneofd Posted June 10, 2006 Share Posted June 10, 2006 i got a new graphic card ati 9800PRO 256mb agp before gta was choppy now its still abit choppy isnt that card good enough? my specs 2.4ghz 512mb ram 40gb free space 9800PRO 256mb windows xp intergrated realtech ac 97 soundcard something like that and whenever i go the dxdiag (direct x controll panel and i lower the sound acceleration and it becomes better you think its someting to do with my sound card? plz help me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you havent already updated your sound drivers as well as your motherboard's. Do it now, Using lower settings might help your gameplay a bit more. Try the manufactures website for patches. There could be a incompatiblity with the ATI Graphics card and your motherboard sound. If your computer is new? than you might also try the C-media drivers that work pretty well with most AC-97 which also add 3D sound effect and the ability to add more speakers. use the realtech codec check on your computer's CD to find out exactly what chipset you have then search for an update.
