Modding San Andreas on the XBOX

This was frekin hard!! I shoulda just spent $20 on the pc version

 

First we tried softmodding the xbox with the Unleashx dashboard. The softmod install was successful, but when we tried saving the game to the hard drive, there was not enough space.

 

So next we ordered a new HD which was a hassle, because we had to unmod the xbox and have someone install a modchip. After that, the new 60gb HD was installed. We saved San Andreas to the xbox. Then we used the SmartFTP client to transfer certain files from the xbox to the computer. Then a friend of mine did some projectile swaps, I don't really know much about hex editing, or whatever he did. So anyways for example, he made the silenced pistol shoot rockets. This was glitchy, so we tried something else. We made the pistol shoot rapidly. This was really cool.

 

What inspired us was the Halo 2 modding situation, which is ALOT easier. I'm gonna try to post a video whenever I get a capture card. This is really new to us and im glad this worked because I was just gonna buy the pc version just to mod it.
