DJDJ
Windows XP Home 3GHz Pent 4 Processor 2GB RAM Nvidia Geforce 6200LE graphics Now i remember (think) seeing something about geforce issues, but cant find anything escept the pinned confirmaton topic. Basically while playing, in game and menus i see lines flash up, mainly leading from the player (CJ) out of the screen. In SWAT 4 these lines are also present, all leading from the centre of the screen out ward randomly. in the menu i have also seen a simular occurance, wiht whitish lines flashign up Also, leading from the top left corner outward, i saw a lot of greyish line,s wiht black background. i couldnt see the menu. i pressed a button and colour added to these lines. Any help? 'fraid i cant be more specific but they flash up really fats and are hard to focus on this is the best i could do Screenshot of menu problem. simular thing happens in game but only for a micro second with one or two lines. too quick to take scr EDIT This should be in gen chat/pc chat as the problem is NOT gta specific Nvidia's support is total and utter sh*t Edited June 14, 2006 by DJDJ
.:Clansman:.
I have got the same card in my PC ( Packard Bell iMedia 1509 ) and get gfx glitches only in SA even though i've got up to the minute drivers , mine gets that warm that you cant touch it without being burnt , the glitch i get is that the game screen turns into bluescale ( like greyscale ) and it stays like that for at least 2/3 minutes.....weird !! Pump Bumper
well how about posting what setting you run in-game (resolution, anti aliasing, etc). also, make sure your drivers are up to date.
DJDJ
installed new drivers today from nvidia site any resolution. been changing and it just makes the lines bigger/smaller. Ant aliasing...off i think (what is AA?) resolutions i tried are (if i get em right): (17" VDU) 960x600 115x864 1280X1024 i cant remember the other
.:Clansman:.
I get the problem i mention above with the settings at... 800 x 600 x 32 ( cant go higher or framerate drops ) draw distance full no AA but i do have the x10 draw distance mod , still a 128MB card should be able to handle this imo... @DJDJ : Any luck with your problem either ? ms.cooldude
Try the 1.01 patch. It fixes most Geforce and ATI graphics problems however I forgot where I downloaded it from
.:Clansman:.
Is that the official one from R*....? Would it affect a highly modded game...?
DJDJ
Is theer a site that hosts the patch that DOESN'T disable the features thet the new onces do (hot coffee for example) EDIT I get the same lines flashing up in Vice City and in SWAT 4 looks like it has to be a graphic card problem but i have the latest drivers installed, so i dont know what to do Edited June 14, 2006 by DJDJ
Craig Kostelecky
I was also having many problems with my GeForce 6600 when playing San Andreas (and VC to a lesser extent). Here's what it looked like for me. Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 I even brought it back to the store to see if it was defective, and the second card did that as well. So I exchanged it for an ATI X1300 Pro and all of the problems were solved. Plus it was about $50 (US) less money at the time.
Pump Bumper
Ant aliasing...off i think (what is AA?) it makes the jagged edges around objects blur a little bit(you know...from the pixels? looks like a ladder some times). it really makes it look better, but it can hurt performance if it's too high. DJDJ
i managed to catch a flashing line with a print scr, it appears subtley but it DOES affect the gameplay experiance Also after quiting th game, the start menu does this any thoughs? EDIT: I just realised i still using Ver 1 - with a nocd crack as my disk is cracked - with the 1.01 patch, i need the disk and atm i have no cd drive. if i bought a new disk from the shop, would it be the unmoddaBLE version? or v1.01 or v1 Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting Edited June 13, 2006 by DJDJ
GTA3Freak-2001
If you bought a new copy it would most probably be V2.0 which is unmoddable I am afraid so to get 1.01 you need to find an orginal v.1 off someone possibly ebay.
Jordan
I'd remove the old drivers correctly then reinstall the new ones.

Depends what files you've got backups of. @Clansman - Looks like the textures aren't loading, I see that you've got a modified radar so I presume you've got many other mods such as the 10x draw distance and other texture mods? If you overload the game with mods you can sometimes experience problems like textures not loading.
