[3DSM] Halo 3 Cover Concept

Here's a design I came up with based on the H2 Limited Edition case for H3. I used 3dsMax8 with the Mentalray renderer. Poly count was pretty low. There's no GI or FG used. It has 3 lights, one spot above and two omni lights used for specular only on the brushed aluminum material. Total render time was just under 6 mins. Enjoy!

That looks great, my only quip is that, as a piece, it would look better standing on a surface of some sort. Apart from that it's a damn nice job.

Awsome, I'm intrested in what program you composed the bitmaps in though, mainly the disc, care to tell

First off, it is sitting on a surface, a slightly reflective black surface.

 

I made all the textures in photoshop.

I's Be intrested in getting the template or PSD of the outter part of the disc, if you don't mind, for learning means, not the whole disc, just the shiny parts of the disc. PM me and I'll give you my email, if you don't mind
