Zzz!
Hey everyone, A long time ago I started a project called Empire City. It would be a large area, replacing the whole Vice City. Unfortunately, I had to leave USA for a few months, so the project was closed. Today, I have another project, and it is in progress, but I still would like to continue making Empire City. That is why I would like to recruit more people. More info about the project: The game is about a guy named Toni Corleone, who sold his property and fleed Vice City in 2003 because the police was taking over his business. When he comes to Empire City, he is arrested for nothing. The National Security Executive takes all of his cash and releases him outside of the city limits in some countryside. He finds a driver to get him back to the city. This is where the story begins. He must find out who set him up. The Empire City will replace the whole Vice City. We need: -modelers -mappers -assisstant coders (not required) -animation editors (not required) If you would like to join our global project, please leave a message here. the_king
Starting a Total Conversion, is quite easy, except it wouldn't get a very good response if you just made a topic, with some ideas, with nothing to show for it. The best way to start it is to, gather ideas and research. If your Total Conversion is based on anything particular. For example a Knight Rider conversion would need research on the TV series, and an understanding of what goes on. Researching this, helps the mod have some background to go on, and gives the team an idea of what to do model/code etc.Once you've gathered research, then maybe start prototyping ideas, a few concept sketches of cars, buildings etc. Also a few ingame prototypes won't go a miss. Then you need to make a topic, which clearly presents your ideas, what you've done so far, what you are doing, asking for help if you need it. If you allready started the mod long ago, post some pics of what you have.
Zzz!
The King, we don't have anything, because I do not know what happened myself - I told my team what to do, but I guess they left because they got tired of waiting for me to come back. They have everything from the mod - but I don't know where they are. So I'm just starting everything over.
PresidentKiller
Sorry for the off-topicness but this is interesting. I did a Google search on Empire City GTA to find more about it, and these things showed up: - http://members.tripod.com/ecvscv/ It turns out "Empire City" was a map for GTA 1. - http://luisguzman.com/filmography.html Luis Guzman, the guy that voiced Ricardo Diaz in Vice City, starred in a TV movie called "Empire City" in 1991. - http://www.geocities.com/cerberagtr/cerbera_links.html Now this is a rare thing. An old website made by Cerbera (believe it or not! It's not standards-compliant!) (It came up with the results)
Zzz!
Well, the reason you couldn't find anything is that the project was kept in secret. Only me and my team knew about it, and we did not tell anyone else. P.S. And I've never even played GTA1. Oh and by the way - thanks for being interested in my project. Edited June 9, 2006 by Zzz!
