l y3m1t l Posted June 8, 2006 Share Posted June 8, 2006 I just got GTA:SA for the pc an have tryed installing numerous car mods but the bar always gets about half way and then the game freezes either cause me to turn off the computer manually or ending task. I have followed instruction perfectly and i have even tryed using the San Andreas Mod installer found here on the forums. Does anyone know what is wrong. LMS Posted June 8, 2006 Share Posted June 8, 2006 I don't know "numerous car mods" but if it changes the main.scm then you must start a new game to use the mod. If you don't do that the game crashes. I have tryed installing car mods would be a better way to put it but each time i install one it just freezes when i start the game. To tell what version you have, when you get to main menu if at bottom if it says V2 (or something like that) then you unfortuanatly cannot mod the game. If it's working the car mod changed your main.scm if it doesn't working one of your SA files are destroyed or deleted. If it's the destroyed or deleted then copy the old SA files(the files they was replaced with the car mod files). If it's work then download the carmod again and replace the files again. With the Mission Builder you can change the Main.scm and create e.g. new missions or change mission etc. Interesed? Mission Builder Download And did you do what I said in my last post? Please do it. A couple of posts back he already said he had V2 of the game which means he has a unmoddable version of gta: sa. And looking at his later posts he can't find the downgrade patch. fuckindumass Posted June 9, 2006 Share Posted June 9, 2006 To downgrade to v1 you'll need a uk version (i don't know for sure but I think it's different from usa version) of the gta_sa.exe To apply a patch to get to v1.01, I don't know if that can be done without having a v1 game...... I share the usa version of the v1 gta_sa.exe in emule, but I can't post the link on these forums. I also share a v1 version that gets rid of the nvidia nag and intro video.
