radioman Posted June 8, 2006 Share Posted June 8, 2006 If you have 3 GTA games installed, do they all share the same main.scm file, because i found one under the san andreas user files, but i could not find any under the GTA3 or the Vice City User files. please help. i'm trying to figure out how to locate the files with no luck. thanks. No, the main.scm in the data folder in the installation folder of the game. So as long as (obviously) the games are all installed in diffrent areas, the you will ahve no problems with the main.scm. The save dirrectory only contains saves and settings, not the game script. . There also shouldn't be a main.scm in the SA Savegames Directory. Justin Posted June 8, 2006 Share Posted June 8, 2006 I've told you at least three times now. The main.scm file is found in *install directory*\data. So if you've got three installed, each install directory has its own data folder, and thus main.scm. Reading the relevant pinned topic - as advised multiple times - might do some good, eh? Backup your /data/main.scm in itself indicates the location of the file. I was going to merge this with the Code Tool topic, but hell, maybe it'll stand a higher chance of you actually following advice if we keep it as simple as possible. It's normally installed to "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City" Then the main.scm is located in "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\data". Thanks for the help fuzzy juzzy. i finally figured out how to work time vault and it is easier than the save and play. thanks for being so patient with me while i figured this out. yur last post helped the most. thnks.
